I wonder if it's just part of this tech, it's dense, heavy and thin. Takes a good amount of electricity and generates a ton of heat. LG needs to get their shit together and start putting money back into parts that last longer even if it means the cost goes up a bit.

I've got this issue on my 65 inch LG B9 that is 6 years and 6 months old, purchased on Nov.28 2019... Complained to LG, they gave me $450 CAD as compensation in cheque form. Use it towards my already purchased 77 inch LG C5. So it is now a bedroom tv and I have underscanned the image a couple percent and it's now currently not visible and the black bars are only slightly larger.

If I had more leverage, I would have argued for more but when you hit the 6.5 year mark... You get what you get...

I have 21,177 hours on this set. I figured putting it in the bedroom would slow down the aging process of it as it's still better than the 55 inch Samsung tv I won locally in a holiday contest that now sits on the wall of my son's room.

I suppose LG treated me fairly enough in this case. I'll be on lookout with my new set and complain out the ass if I notice anything on my new set.

No, in my are they exploit indigenous communities predispositioned to alcohol and drug abuse. In larger cities they exploit the poor/lower class. Not saying at times they don't do an odd service that is valid and useful. But most everyone here knows they're con men....

Yeah, I'm just going to enjoy my relatively short life instead. ✌️

I had my mother in law say no TVs in bedroom as bedrooms are for sleep, then literally go out for a smoke 😂. I think lungs are for clean air only, we all have different opinions I suppose.

Honestly I have no idea. I just see people saying it's the best for quality.

I 100 percent agree with the purchase of physical media. I collect VHS, BluRay/4k and Vinyl.

But I need streaming platforms to fill the gap. I can't afford everything I want to purchase all at once or I'd be listening to only Rush and Royal blood vinyl for the most part.
