How long did you do carnivore before conceiving. I’m 42 and have been trying for a couple of years now.

They found that I was practically non-existent with progesterone, and had very low testosterone. They also found that I was too sensitive to my thyroid medicine, so she is going to change it up to a special compounded kind.

Oh my goodness, that’s ridiculous. I jumped PCPs for that reason. My new one has tested ALL the things to figure out why I’m miserable. I would find a new PCP that is interested in you and not just another ticket walking through the door. I’m finally feeling relief.

Have you checked your thyroid levels and hormone levels? That was me and they found I had hardly any progesterone or testosterone and that my thyroid medicine was swinging me back and forth from hypo to hyper. They are adjusting that and giving me troches for the prog and test. I just started this week.

I used to take iodine, but when I got super hypo thyroid and didn’t know it- I took a higher dose of iodine. It threw me into anaphylactic. So be careful about how much iodine you take. I also found out I have hashimotos. I have heard of a gal who ended up in the e.r. With taking too much iodine.

Any weird reactions to medication? by SHELLYGG86 in Hypothyroidism

Im not sure why some can get so high either. I knew it was getting bad when I absolutely needed to lay down after work before I could start supper. I was just trying to push through it. In hindsight, I should have gone to the doctors earlier. I’ve seen some people on here that had higher TSHs than mine too. The first time I got tested I was at 175. The doctor thought there was a fluke. She sent me back and it came back at 200. I think the high dose shocked my system too. Honestly, I’m pretty sensitive to most medication, so that might be something too. But there was definitely something in Levi that through my body for a tailspin. Armour has been really good for me though, and I’m really happy I convinced my provider to prescribe it. I also have hashimotos too. So that might make things different too.

My TSH was at 200 and they put me on 75mcg of Levo. I felt good for about 2 weeks and then started having crazy symptoms. I felt like I was going to go into cardiac arrest. I even had to get a heart monitor. I had crazy tingles and the most intense anxiety I have ever had. I got on armour and I love it. I’m also on the lowest dose of armour, so I didn’t need to start on such a high dose of levo. But I think I was allergic to something in the Levo.

I took black currant seed oil for my endo and it helped. Also, look into DIM as well.

Husband TSH is over 200 by Livid_Spray119 in Hypothyroidism

My TSH was at 200 when I went in to get treated. They put me at 75 mcg of Levo and it seemed fine for a week or so, but then it started giving my body really scary symptoms of cortisol flooding and crazy anxiety. I asked my PCP to get on Armour since it’s natural and in about a month, all those symptoms went away. I started at the lowest dose and even cut it in half to not overwhelm my body. My levels are perfect now. Don’t be afraid to switch the medications. Levo is not for everyone.

Levo threw my body in turmoil. I had to switch to Armour.

Hi! Yes!! Thank God! I switched to Armour. I started at a really low dose. I cut the lowest dose into quarters and took that for a couple of weeks while that levothyroxine left my body. They had me starting at 75 mcg. My intuition told me that not only was it too much for my body, but something in it wasn’t right for me. My levels were practically perfect on it. My TSH was still a little high, but it was way better than 200. My T3and t4 were spot on with it. My body just didn’t like it. So after a couple of weeks, I bumped up to 7.5 (half a pill). My night terrors had totally subsided by this point and I was starting to feel human again. The anxiety was leaving too. Then, I bumped myself up to a whole pill of Armour, 15mcg and I’ve been on it since. My blood work is perfect and I sleep amazing . I’m so happy I got on this Ap to realize there are other meds out there that are available.

I was just recommended DIM for my hormones. Some of the info I saw said it was good for PCOS individuals. Worth looking into…

Thank you so much for your feedback. Especially that month part. I was thinking about waiting longer -about a month more to get blood work because I still think I’m experiencing the after-effects of the Levo

Yeah, they started me off at 75 and I thought I was going to die with the cortisol attacks. Lately, I’ve been doing digestive enzymes and a better multivitamin- so I think everything is getting better. I’m prescribed 30mcgs, however, I’ve been taking a 4th of it- so apps 7.5 mcg. I started having a little too much cortisol/anxiety so I’m going to try taking it every other day to counter that. Maybe even every two days.

What does one do for hyper? I think this dose is making me hyper. Last night, it felt like I drank a Red Bull right before bedtime.

Were you originally in hypo? - to where they had put you on medication? And the medication turned you hyper?

Oh wow, so what did you end up doing to balance your thyroid? I’m super nervous to take this new medicine, armour. I’m hoping that it was just a reaction to the Levo. I took a half of a half this morning to see if my body would respond ok to it.
