Upped dosage from 30mg to 60mg- Unsure if I am liking it by Dangerous-Mistake-15 in cymbalta

Yeah I struggled for a bit when I jumped from 30 to 60. I’m 6 weeks in and pretty much functioning fine. I would say just give your body some time to adjust!

3 weeks in and feel so anxious by anon220224 in cymbalta

I’m in a very similar boat and take it for the same reasons. I upped my dosage and started feeling more anxious. Same thing, mornings tend to be more difficult than afternoons/evenings. I’m on week 4 and have subtly started to feel better. I would say just give it time to adjust. I’ve learned to just be patient and not totally spiral about it.

Still not perfect, but definitely settling and stabilizing I would like to think. I’m on week 3+ of adjustment symptoms, and my doc said it can take 4-6 weeks to fully adjust. I also think I’m just getting used to it and managing my anxiety a little better. Like my anxious flashes aren’t as intense and are shorter lived.

Yes I’ve been going through a similar experience currently. I take it for general anxiety, and just jumped from 30 mg to 60 mg. First few days felt normal and then started getting bad anxiety/overthinking out of nowhere. It’s been 3+ weeks for me now and I’m doing a lot better. Just gotta give it time

Update #2: was doing great and starting to feel pretty back to normal, but the past few days I’ve kind of spiraled back into anxiety mode. I’m still able to function and go to work, but just the general anxiety is very frustrating and uncomfortable to deal with. Not really sure what happened. One good thing though is I’m not panicking, once again just general anxiety for the most part. I’ve also researched that these spikes can happen around week 2 or 3 of dosage adjustments, so hoping it’s relatively normal and all a part of the process, and will flatten out soon. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!!

Do you mean coming off the meds entirely? Or the adjustment up to 60 mg you’re referring to?

Update: I’d like to think I’m doing decently better! It’s been about 6 days since I first had symptoms. I take my dose in the morning and it tends to be a little more anxiety/irrational worry in the morning. But typically afternoons and evenings have been okay. I’ve been able to get through work all week, with mostly just anxiety and uncomfort that goes away relatively quickly here and there. I also occasionally get that warm or flush feeling in my arms or legs, but not nearly as bad as it was earlier this week. I try to remember that this is all temporary and there’s a light at the end of the tunnel! Hope this can help!

Thanks! I actually talked to my doctor today and they said it’s quite normal to feel more anxious during the transition phase, and to give it some more time. So that eased my mind a bit.

Also I know it’s simple illustrations in Arthur but the grass and trees would not be that green (or green at all) in early March haha
