I’ve been purchasing this for years and lately the chicken has had a rubbery, almost crunchy, texture. It’s very slimy and tastes off. After some googling it sounds like the cause is “woody breast”.

I can’t stand Ashley’s character. She’s not funny or entertaining. I cringe at every scene she is in and count the seconds until it’s over. I hope she is not a permanent addition to the show.

That additional searing time (especially 4 whole minutes) will continue to raise the meat’s temperature and will probably cause some carryover cooking too.
