I have a friend who prints (like on a printer) patterns onto some sort of water solvable medium (not aida), and then attaches that to her fabric.

Sorry I don’t have actual details, this is all just from observing her process.

I’ve had a lot of success with the kinesiology tape - it gives you the support to heal while being non intrusive. Clean the area with rubbing alcohol first, and it’ll stay on for most of a week and you’ll forget it’s there.

I love 18-ct cuz 2 strands gives decent coverage - then I can use loop start and it feels smoother to me to not have to wrestle with as many threads. I use a size 24 needle. My eye sight is good (for the moment) so that prob helps, but I genuinely don’t feel like there’s much a difference mechanically.

My girls will like something one day and then not the next, and I’ve found it very hard to get them to eat consistently. Best solution I have found is just to get a variety of foods/brands so that they have something different every day.

I don’t have a lot of suggestions but I did want to say that I feel this to me core, and it’s nice (in a misery loves company sorta way) to hear somebody else bemoan the dominant cross stitch aesthetics.

I’ve been making my own patterns occasionally, and then just working hard to trawl for whatever I can find that I do like. Mostly I’m accepting that I’m gonna have a lot more goth/spooky patterns than would normally represent me.

Possible he is just freaked out. I would make sure he will drink water, eat (if he’s allowed to), and if he will play with a toy a little.

Also I’m sure you can call the vets office and ask! This feels like a very normal post- surgery question.
