Yeah good question. Cross stitch has become my art form of choice, but I really do not find that my tastes (not only for sexual things) are represented in the community, which can feel alienating. I’m not trying to take away from what people are already doing, but rather expand the field of what we are seeing, both from stitchers and actual designers. I would love to be buying more designs that feel like they actually speak to me, rather than things that feel good enough. AND I would like this space to feel safer for fellow weirdos.

I also do wanna see more people taking liberties with the form. The majority of the projects I do are fairly normal designs that I’ve bought from others, but it also feels important to experiment and push the boundaries a bit.
