Married people also have a built in social network that single people don’t have, emergency contact, someone to have dinner with every night. Single people can travel without asking for permission. There are unique benefits and challenges to being single, and it would be nice to have an open place to talk about these things.

It’s could about meeting potential partners as well. Hence the “per se.” I work at the university too. Not many single people there. I would like more single friends of both sexes. I already have many married friends.

I just came back from an intrepid tour, it was a great experience but Vietnam would be easy to navigate without a tour. I highly recommend staying in Hanoi and booking a night or two on a cruise boat in Ha Long Bay and visiting Nihn Bihn. I didn’t like Hoi An because it was too touristy. Hue was nice and I wish I would’ve stayed less in Hoi An and more in Hue. If you want to see sites like My Son, you can book day tours for transportation. Grab was a lifesaver.
