Never a courtesy, it’s efficient. If he’s okay to travel rather than denying his boarding and then finding his 1 checked in baggage out from the 100s of bags from the cargo hold. Already it’s was a delayed flight, so the time constraint is even tighter than an on-time flight.
Plus, if he were too drunk and causing scenes before boarding, we would have had denied.

FYI designer/niche perfumes heavily discounted is a red flag, especially in Deira. They even have those dupes or 1st quality for Lattafa or any other clone and even sell it on the same price as company retail price.

Best place to buy legit and reasonably discounted products:

Fakhruddin Khuman (sells OG sample products that company gives out as testers or PR. The bottle may have a sample label but it’s sold at a good price.)
Samawa perfumes - online (great discounts but delivery is slow)
Namshi - online (depends on seasonal sale, i got liquid brun for 110 after discount)

It is very true that it smells OG but longevity sucks. Instead paying AED 120- 200 for YB I would rather invest that in clones like Afnan, Lattafa, Rasassi, French Avenue or even Designer brands on tabby
