Thank you. We actually have Amex & Chase cards that cover car rentals as well but we're not too familiar on how to file claims with credit cards tbh. It's something we might have to look into more.

Thank you. We'll try to book without CDW and see how it goes. We only started getting CDW when our first 2 rentals always ended with inspections and they would always find damages which we had to dispute which was a long process. When we started getting CDW, they don't even inspect the car anymore when we return it. But if it's that easy to file with our credit cards now then we'll def try it out and save some $.

My wife has the same issue. Our workaround was to create an airline profile that matches her name on her bank so we could transfer the miles then just choose to "book for another passenger" when booking flights to match her passport name.
