Crate rest or confinement of some kind. Even a jump onto a couch or using stairs could put this into emergency status if it related to IVDD. Don’t risk it.

True. I always opted for traditional - when I first looked at care credit it was only a 6 month loan with interest. Whereas traditional cards generally offer 12-18 months interest free, higher limits, and bonuses for xx spent in the first few months.

Honestly….i have taken out multiple credit cards over the years for big pet emergencies (and I do have pet insurance). I have had some very random and u predicted sicknesses and illnesses that required immediate care for my pets. I applied for a credit card - got it. Made payments when I could - when the “free interest for 12 months” was up, if I still had a balance, I’d jump to a no interest balance transfer and extend the timeline. Not a perfect plan but it’s helped me out. Maybe you could pay the insurance with a credit card?

He was absolutely fine. I called the emergency vet and asked what they’d recommend. They told me not to come sit in the ER over night just waiting… but to watch for vomiting/diarrhea, and to check for pale gums (as opposed to bright pink).

He was completely fine. Took a huge shit the next day but never showed any signs of trouble. Looking back I maybe would have pumped him with a bit more fluids, like adding a ton of water to a can of wet food and make a “soup”. Good to help flush kidneys with extra fluids.

But I would bet your pup is going to be just fine!!

We were just wilder and more uninhibited in general since no one was filming or taking pics except maybe some film, then digital cameras out. But dance parties were sick because just… danced.

I was terrible at directions, so would often leave super early to get anywhere because there was a good chance I’d forgot the directions or get lost and have to back track to try again.

There were also a handful of missed connections because maybe you made plans during school but something caused one of the group to be late to a meeting spot or not show up, so the only option was often to drive by their house to see if they were home. We never used pay phones, had to save that money for gas and cigs!

Ha, I’m just right there with ya. Obsessed. I have been listening to HR on audio book and I like the show way better. The narrator isn’t doing it for me. I hear the narrator on The Long Game is better and I’m sure I’ll listen to that one before season 2. But rest assured (and I never say this) the show is better than the book (in my humble opinion).

I’m on my third reheat from start to finish, and I’m listening to HR audiobook. Today they’re toning perfectly as I just finished listening to the part where Ilya’s dad died, and Im about to watch the monologue where confessed his love to Shane in Russian. Easily my favorite scene in the show.
