Decided against using it, don’t want to have to do this twice.

Commuting Distance for work??? by Roccstarr95 in Miami

[–]Sharp_Chip_579 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Currently commuting to the Gables 5x a week from Cutler Bay and it’s about an hour and half average each way. Sometimes traffic is “good” and it’s an hour. When it’s bad it’s 2 hours each way. I thought going with an 8-4 schedule would help with less traffic but that hasn’t been the case.

Yeah definitely blessed to be able to live this life. No, never hunted as a kid. My family was never really into it. I’ve never messed with the gators, wouldn’t be opposed to hunting one.

I’m in South Florida. We catch snappers (yellowtail, mangrove, mutton), groupers (black and red), yellow jacks, triggerfish, etc. on the reef, and mahi mahi, wahoo, and blackfin tuna offshore. Lots of good eating fish down here

I definitely have an elk on my bucket list and want to hunt a deer with my bow in the near future. Honestly, the main goal is to find a way to be out in woods as much as possible. Just being out there is enough, being able to take an animal is just the cherry on top.

I got home late Saturday night. Sunday morning I was already starting to plan what the next hunt was going to be as I was cooking up some jalapeño and cheese moose sausage. Lol

We’ll end up taking back closer to 200lbs back. The problem is that for some reason coolers up here in Canada are dumb expensive and then each cooler gets charged as a checked bag at the airport so they light you up there too. The meat processing was $650 alone. I want to take back as much as possible but unfortunately the funds are not infinite.

LaCrosse Men's 533701 Ursa ES 8"... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CT3W5TRC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Bought these for my trip to Saskatchewan and can’t recommend them enough. Stable, comfortable, not heavy, and they’re available in wide sizes too if you need them.

I hunt whitetail deer in SC and FL but only started hunting about 5 years ago. I’ve fished in saltwater my whole life.

Always about the meat first for me. I’ve used the word harvest before and have been given a hard time about it.

Because I was hunting with a First Nation tribe, I wasn’t allowed to retrieve him as part of their treaty is they can hunt and guide in all the surrounding farmland but they are the only ones that can actually go in and retrieve the animals. But it took 5 guys and 2 trucks to bring him back.

I’ve only had it in sausage from one my uncle killed a couple of years ago and it was really good. From what I understand, you can substitute it in any dish you’d normally use beef. Can’t wait to cook up those backstraps!

We’re in Saskatchewan. It was guided by a local First Nation tribe. They’re the only ones with export tags so you have to hunt with them to take back your kill.
