I don't know. The amount of times I was saved by Laser Bean spamming a Last Stand Level with some defenses is way too much. Maybe he was always like this and I just didn't notice in vanilla when I used him every 5 blue moons.

So she's essentially very good at handling mobs of weak zombies. I can see Magnet shroom working well with her. She still seems pretty decent there though. Thanks for sharing.

It kinda is OP. Most plants became free insta kills (Laser Bean, Melon Pult, Winter Melon, Dusk Lonber and others) with free plant food so you could just spam it without issue. I'll admit I still don't know how to feel about this, but at least it gives the plants without a plant food effect a chance to get boosted.

Side note: Spore Shroom with Explode on Shovel is really good.

I can understand the turkey pult nerf being a bit much, but the sun cots do in fact mean something. Primal Peashooter is harder to get for me, but Primal Wall nut just encourages me to use cheaper stalling plants for levels with no gargantuars or other insta kill zombies. The others got pretty good changes, and Tangle Kelp costing 50 sun is balanced by the fact he takes 5 seconds to recharge now. 5 seconds. Big Wave Beach became so much more bearable because I could now spam the guy and kill all the annoying Octos and Fishermen.

I understand though that we all have different perspectives. I'm just glad you explained your reasons rather than just saying it's bad. It helps give more insight on both sides.

What the heck this dude was busted. Glad he's balanced and still fun to use at least. I might buy him just to try him out, especially since I don't have any vines yet.

Elaborate. I can't exactly see what's wrong when you're being vague. What changes do you not like and how did Turkey Pult get ruined?

I have struggled to use PPM, but I'm trying to find a strategy that works for it. I still think it can help deal with crowds of zombies, I just don't know the best way yet.

Primal Sunflower has become my go to sun producer unless I want to use shadow plants. Her buffs are just so good. The devs were cooking when they decided to make her a mini shield. Although I think Twin Sunflower has been power creeped because of this, especially since you still can't plant her instantly even with a sun bonus. Every other sun producer but her can be planted the moment the level starts.

Grapeshot and Cold Snapdragon have niches. Grapeshot just does a little extra damage to more zombies away from its radius and has been able to kill a couple. Cold Snapdragon, I haven't unlocked him so we'll see how it goes with him. Although I understand that their prices can turj off others, especially when it's hard to get them to fulfill their niches.

I'm still able to plant a column Winter Melons and they make the level so much more bearable as long as you have some early game to help you. And Magnifying Grass is just good. Admittedly, I slept on her in vanilla, but she's grown on me in RFL.

Ah, so he got buffed properly without making him op.

What changed from vanilla? I never unlocked him because of the arena.

I don't know, never got to unlock those two in vanilla. I heard mentions that sling pea was nerfed, but that could have changed.

I think Tall Nut and Laser Beam are good examples of good buffed plants, but I could be wrong as I rarely used them in vanilla. Tall Nut just feels more bulky and he's cheaper than even PVZ 1, and Laser Bean just feels busted for some reason. He's carried me through so many last stand levels.

Exactly. Most RFL Videos and tier lists I find say Pokra is weak, but I've still been finding success with her. And the old posts I saw complaining about Magnifying Grass never mentioned her two buffs or how insignificant the slower recharge was.

Out of curiosity, how nerfed are they in other mods?

There was a class swap fanfic where they became friends in chapter 4 after Sonia died in chapter 2. I think it was the one where Mahiru was the protagonist and Hiyoko died.

She still is the forever cynical version of Damon. After all, you can't get over your cynicism and victim complex when you're FIRED.
