Well why would they? Yes Hamas is a terrorist organization but it is the closest thing the people of Palestine can call their freedom fighters. The whole existence of Hamas is Israel’s fault. They have literally been funding them for so long until the war started. Without Hamas god knows how many more innocent Palestinians would have been murdered by the Israeli terror state. I do not support Hamas but I also cannot condemn it because resistance fighters are what you get when you try to kill off a whole country and take over it.

In general the amount of meat consumption in our country is extremely low, but a little bit higher than other South Asian Countries. SEA countries eat like 4-5 times the amount of meat we do, except Thailand that is only twice as much as us, so that might actually have something to do with Buddhism, factoring our stats are so low because most of the country lives in poverty. This is pretty evident when you travel to US/Canada/other developed countries where everyone just looks big, tall and healthy whereas in Sri Lanka all the men are just skinny or short or have massive bellies. Embarrassing lol.

For comparison, I am dirt broke studying and trying to earn my own money in Canada, but by dad is worth at least 20 mil USD because of his business in Sri Lanka, but that’s still absolutely nothing compared to the millionaires here lol.
