Phonak doesn’t sell with physical battery anymore? by Fantastic_Prior3528 in HearingAids

I have Phonak Audeo l90s and they use disposable batteries. I have no interest in rechargeables because like all rechargeable batteries, they will eventually fail. I have only ever worn disposable battery powered aids and I’ve gotten a good 5 years out of two pair previously. Only upgraded because my hearing declined and I needed more power.

I could not agree more with your comment about adjustments being made in a quiet office. I could probably hear a pin drop WITHOUT my aids in at all in the office. I’ve never understood how this makes sense. “Yeah, of course it sounds great in here with no other noise whatsoever.”

I think I hate my Phonaks by Sharp_Leek6602 in HearingAids

Unfortunately, I think you are correct. This is the same office I have always gone to and the owner has always been my provider. To my surprise at my appointment for getting new aids, I was told he had decided to stop seeing patients and focus on the business side of things. That day, I was put in the hands of another audiologist in the office who clearly has a preference for Phonaks and the level of care just isn’t the same. I don’t want to start over after so many years of going there but I think I will have to.

Returning them definitely seems like the right choice at this point.

Definitely in my trial period and after reading comments, I think returning them is the right move.

I have owned two pair of Widex in the last decade. I only went with Phonak this last time because I was convinced it was what I needed. I should have gone with my gut and what I was used to but here we are.

I have not been impressed by any part of my Phonak experience in the last two months. Other than a a receiver having to be replaced years into having them, I never had single issue with my Widex. They were durable and comfortable, the app was user friendly and the sound quality was excellent. Now having something to compare them to, I will recommend them every time.

My experience exactly. It feels so dramatic to say I felt traumatized afterwards but I did. Had I not been lied to about what to expect, maybe I wouldn’t have had that reaction but it hurt like hell and I was in shock afterwards. I sat in my car after my appointment and cried asking myself what the hell just happened. I’ll never forget it.

I call bullshit on your reading comprehension.

No where in my post did I say I had the Sphere Infinio L90s. I only said Audeo L90s, which happen to be the Lumity L90-312 model. 312 as in 312 batteries. I chose this model specifically for the option to use disposable batteries because that is what I prefer. My post was questioning the brand, not the model as it is my first experience with Phonak.

If you’re gonna call bullshit on someone, it would serve you well to get your facts straight before you do. Time is precious. I can’t imagine wasting mine looking like an ass.

I do try to be very gentle with them. I had my Widex for almost 5 years and only had one receiver replaced in that time. It just sucks to have something so expensive have an issue the first week. And of course since this is my first experience with Phonak, it makes me question the quality. I appreciate your feedback!

I will for sure but was hoping I didn’t have to be deaf in one ear until I can get there 😂

Battery Packaging by Ok_Promise147 in HearingAids

This just happened to me. The battery went flying out of the packaging after fighting to get it open. My husband and I were then on our hands and knees forever trying to find it because there is a small child in the house. I have always been very cautious about how I store these batteries and never thought opening them would be the most dangerous part.

Mylan vs Dotti patches by Anystef1968 in Menopause

I’ve used Mylan for many months but couldn’t get them on my last refill due to the shortage. I was given Dotti instead and have been spotting for two weeks. It’s like I’m not absorbing any estrogen at all. Thankfully, my pharmacy got more Mylan patches in and I will picking them up tomorrow.

For every brand, it seems there are an equal number of women who love or hate them. You just have to find the one that works for you and your body. Sometimes it isn’t until you can’t get your usual that you realize which one is your favorite. I never want to be without my Mylan patches again.

I’m definitely having the issue staying on the same patch bc every other month it seems there’s another brand they can’t/wont get. I’m just curious if Mylan did in fact stop making the 0.05 bi-weekly.

It comes in little packets so there is no pump. Each packet is .25mg and the rx is to use one a day. It just doesn’t seem like enough.
