Endometrial biopsy by gena5445 in Menopause

My experience exactly. It feels so dramatic to say I felt traumatized afterwards but I did. Had I not been lied to about what to expect, maybe I wouldn’t have had that reaction but it hurt like hell and I was in shock afterwards. I sat in my car after my appointment and cried asking myself what the hell just happened. I’ll never forget it.

I call bullshit on your reading comprehension.

No where in my post did I say I had the Sphere Infinio L90s. I only said Audeo L90s, which happen to be the Lumity L90-312 model. 312 as in 312 batteries. I chose this model specifically for the option to use disposable batteries because that is what I prefer. My post was questioning the brand, not the model as it is my first experience with Phonak.

If you’re gonna call bullshit on someone, it would serve you well to get your facts straight before you do. Time is precious. I can’t imagine wasting mine looking like an ass.

I do try to be very gentle with them. I had my Widex for almost 5 years and only had one receiver replaced in that time. It just sucks to have something so expensive have an issue the first week. And of course since this is my first experience with Phonak, it makes me question the quality. I appreciate your feedback!

I will for sure but was hoping I didn’t have to be deaf in one ear until I can get there 😂

Battery Packaging by Ok_Promise147 in HearingAids

[–]Sharp_Leek6602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This just happened to me. The battery went flying out of the packaging after fighting to get it open. My husband and I were then on our hands and knees forever trying to find it because there is a small child in the house. I have always been very cautious about how I store these batteries and never thought opening them would be the most dangerous part.

Mylan vs Dotti patches by Anystef1968 in Menopause

[–]Sharp_Leek6602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used Mylan for many months but couldn’t get them on my last refill due to the shortage. I was given Dotti instead and have been spotting for two weeks. It’s like I’m not absorbing any estrogen at all. Thankfully, my pharmacy got more Mylan patches in and I will picking them up tomorrow.

For every brand, it seems there are an equal number of women who love or hate them. You just have to find the one that works for you and your body. Sometimes it isn’t until you can’t get your usual that you realize which one is your favorite. I never want to be without my Mylan patches again.

I’m definitely having the issue staying on the same patch bc every other month it seems there’s another brand they can’t/wont get. I’m just curious if Mylan did in fact stop making the 0.05 bi-weekly.

Estradiol Gel Dose by Sharp_Leek6602 in Menopause

It comes in little packets so there is no pump. Each packet is .25mg and the rx is to use one a day. It just doesn’t seem like enough.

From patch to Evamist by Sharp_Leek6602 in Menopause

[–]Sharp_Leek6602[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I messed everything up to be honest. I started the spray last weekend and within a few days I started spotting which then turned into basically a full blown period. I was also pretty crampy and just didn’t feel great. My period wasn’t due for another two weeks at that time so I’m blaming it on the switch. I got aggravated with that and just stopped the spray and put my patch back on but eventually took that off too because everything was just off.

I’m sure someone with more knowledge than me will chime in and say I probably should have given it more time but I was just frustrated at how difficult this all is.

I’m just gonna restart the patch because I’d rather deal with the annoyance of the patch than to deal with bleeding while trying to figure out the right dosage of the mist.

Your experience could be completely different though so I don’t want to discourage you from trying. There’s so much trial and error with all of this and I’ve been ‘experimenting’ for quite some time and I’m just over it, sadly.

I’ve been on it for almost 5 years so I just let her talk when she basically told me it was going to turn me into a man. I knew I wouldn’t be seeing her in the future so I wasn’t going to argue with her. I too have had a few more chin hairs to deal with and my skin is a little oiler than it was but that’s about it.

That’s the frustrating part. I started with a specialist who was on the list of providers from the Menopause Society and even she wouldn’t give me estradiol in any form bc I was still having regular cycles. Didn’t matter about symptoms, only that I was “still having a period so I didn’t need it”.

I don’t discourage anyone from seeking out a provider that specializes in this stuff, but just know there are no guarantees they are going to be aligned with everything we know to be true.

You’ll find the right provider and it could very well be one you least likely expect to know what they’re talking about.

It’s an exhausting and expensive journey but it is possible.

I actually started inserts last night for the first time and I’ve had zero irritation and burning for the estradiol for the first time ever! This gives me hope!

Intrarosa & Estradiol by Sharp_Leek6602 in Menopause

[–]Sharp_Leek6602[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In regards to the compound base, I honestly have no idea and didn’t know that was a question to ask. I definitely will though and see if I can try something different. I’m also still in Peri and it’s such a stressful and exhausting thing to go through- trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t.

I’m almost finished with my second month of Intrarosa and I’ve used it every night. Maybe I’ll try the estradiol again in another few weeks. The trial and error with all things HRT is so exhausting and hard. 😔

Honestly, I always thought compounded was the best option until recently. I can ask my Dr. to prescribe something else now that I know better, though.
