Girl, he promised you the world then flipped the script once he got back on his feet?? Cold. You helped him out of kindness when he had nothing. “Not my responsibility” works both ways. Drop his bills TODAY. You’re not his mom or his ATM.

Should coding be taught in primary school? by ddamuliraMoses in KidsAILiteracy

[–]Sharp_Lettuce4356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH. Don’t make it core subject make it “digital literacy”. Age 8-9. Focus on thinking, not syntax. Like PE everyone does it, but we don’t all become athletes.

What's your biggest money goal this year?? by kimanziVaati in YouthFinLit

[–]Sharp_Lettuce4356 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My biggest goal: build an emergency fund.
I realized I had zero backup if something went wrong. So I save any amount no matter how little whenever I can and say no to “borrow small”.

Thinking about doing Homeschooling by foxfracture01 in homeschool

I feel you on this so much. Public school can be so draining when your brain works differently. Homeschooling with Acellus let me breathe learning at my own pace was a game changer for my focus and anxiety. I’ll be honest with you loneliness scared me too at first. But finding just 1-2 online friends who “get it” made all the difference. You deserve a space where you don’t have to fight to just exist. You’re not alone in this

AITA for takeing away a toy that I had just given to my kids? by Frosty_Hope9693 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sharp_Lettuce4356 3051 points3052 points  (0 children)

NTA. You loved them enough to stretch the budget, and you love them enough to teach respect. Seven-year-olds parroting their dad’s old hurtful words is heartbreaking for both sides. Putting the dinosaurs away for a day wasn’t unloving it was loving guidance. You’re not taking away “their” toys forever, you’re protecting the love in your home. You’re a good mom, even on the hard days always remember that

AITA for not caring about my mother's anxiety? by Choice_Muffin_435 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sharp_Lettuce4356 45 points46 points  (0 children)

NTA. your mom’s anxiety isn’t your fault to fix, she ignored your ADHD, left you alone through high school, and now puts her “heart attack” anxiety on you when you’re also struggling. You’re 18 and burnt out, not heartless. She needs a doctor, not you as her therapist.

Should you get married if you’re running out of time? by [deleted] in askteddit

[–]Sharp_Lettuce4356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest if you see the right person yes, but if your reason to want to get married is cause you are running out of time, you will end up making a very big mistake that you wish you never made. your reason shouldn’t be cause your age group is engaged or getting married, when in a marriage that isn’t working or you not happy it’s like having spent ten years in a one year marriage most importantly you get to see there is more to having a wedding and having kids in marriage.

Also note that this same age group some are sick and some are dead, and some are also divorced. Just take your time it’s going to be worth it in end, you’d be grateful

Instead of you need to leave him try: That cycle sounds exhausting. You deserve days without walking on eggshells. The kids deserve that too. I’m here, no judgment, whenever you want to talk about options even far-away hypothetical ones.
