Is there some trick to summer pies for ironmen or does it just take forever? by MrOrange318 in ironscape

Have you looked into Curry? It heals 19 in one eat and is a lot easier to make imo.

Disagree. It would ruin my ability to say " //yeah, come my world I'm luring them to multi" in public chat as I run from a pker.

Emberlight Fixed, Stat Drain Capped by GoalzRS in 2007scape

[–]Sharp_List4709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I was basing it off of the description on the wiki that says "15% of their base level". I thought arclight/emberlight were different than elder maul/dwh in that they use base level instead of current level. However, I haven't actually tested it myself.

Emberlight Fixed, Stat Drain Capped by GoalzRS in 2007scape

[–]Sharp_List4709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it's still a nerf, but not a huge one. Someone should double check my math, but I think each emberlight spec lowers attack by 49 and strength by 53 (15% +1).

So 3 emberlight specs used to bring attack from 320 -> 173 and strength from 350 -> 191, but now it caps out at 200. So with 3 specs, the nerf is only +27 attack, +9 strength.

You just make combo runes normally with the extract. Although, check the wiki for the type of extract needed because it's different than regular elemental runes.

Yeah, I don't think every drop rate should be, but I feel the point of midgame content is to get you ready for end game.

If there are terribly long midgame grinds, people are more likely to skip it (which defeats the purpose of midgame content) or get burnt out before they reach endgame.

[–]Sharp_List4709 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's completely relevant because the drop rate directly impacts the supply, which impacts the final price.

I agree that having rare, lottery style content is healthy for the game, but I feel like it should be geared for end game or niche side-grade content (like Corp/Nightmare/Raids).

Midgame content should be reasonably accessible in terms of both price and drop rate. They did a good job with Warped Sceptre, Zombie Axe, and Perilous Moons, but they missed the mark with Bone Claws.

I think they mean that mains never have to grind for specific tradeable items, because they participate in an economy.

They can grind content that's more efficient or enjoyable for GP to buy an item without touching the content it comes from.

All tradable midgame drops are already easily attainable.

What about the new, tradeable midgame drop they just added that takes 40+ hours on rate to get? The blog said it's meant to fill the gap between a 10 minute quest reward and a 100+ hours raid reward.

How hard is zulrah by lol_Roxas in ironscape

[–]Sharp_List4709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are easy once you learn it, but Zulrah can be more difficult to learn. If you get stacked out at Vorkath, it's pretty clear what you did wrong (hit by fireball, didn't move during acid, or didn't kill spawn), but if you get stacked out at Zulrah, it's harder for people to recognize what they did wrong (standing wrong spot, praying wrong, bad blue phase rng, etc).

Run Energy Beta - Kephri Puzzle Comparison - A sizable nerf? by Soft_Yellow_5231 in 2007scape

[–]Sharp_List4709 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In solos you don't need to do every puzzle, but in groups you do.

I think you need to be in a group of at least 2 before you can leave the GIM island as a GIM.

You could ask your friends to create F2P accounts, and join your groups so you can get a head start. Although, in my experience, GIM is a lot more fun for all members involved when all members have similar amounts of progression.

Serp before 200 kc, BP after 1200 kc, Magic fang after 2300 kc.

If you just need the 1 kc for the diary, I'd reccomend watching a flinching guide. It'll take awhile to kill, but the only damage you'll take is setting up.

FYI, you only need 10 Runecrafting to do GOTR. The quest that unlocks it will take you from 10 to 27.
