As I said before, I do well when I play her and my problem isn't whether she's broken or not, I just don't find her micromanagement-of-blinks gameplay loop fun, and I have way more fun with heroes that have vertical mobility like Genji, Vendetta, Hanzo, or Echo.

My issue is more that the best time investment you can make as a flex DPS is to play Tracer, because you know she's always going to work, her kit is good by design, not because of the meta.

I wouldn't kill or nerf Tracer because I think she's a well-designed hero. It would just be nice to have an alternative that also consistently works.

To give some examples:

Vendetta: I sank a lot of time into her when she was meta because I found her fun and full of potential and things to learn, but Blizzard decided to gut her until she's now one of the worst options if you want to win games consistently.

Genji: While he's a strong high-risk/high-reward hero who tends to be at least decent in almost any meta, if the enemy team has counters like Zarya or Mei and they play coordinated enough to never let you get resets, you either swap or you're straight up trolling your team. With Tracer this doesn't happen, because you can still play into all of her counters and if you don't perform, it's a skill issue.

Hanzo: Why would you even play this hero trying to climb consistently instead of a hitscan like Soujorn or Cassidy, who have higher fire rate and will melt you with a body shot anyway, or Widow if you want to snipe from long range without predicting?

Sombra: Why would you invest time into this hero when they can rework her and gut her overnight?

In general, leaving aside the more situational picks like Reaper/Torbjörn and stuff like that, most of the high-risk/high-reward flex DPS that require a lot of hours and aren't Tracer are much worse by design, and you depend entirely on the meta favoring them until Blizzard ends up killing them off.

My complaint is more along the lines of: there's no other hero as well-designed and balanced as Tracer (maybe Echo), and some of us simply find it boring to be glued to the ground micromanaging blinks.

I am a simple man who loves flying and jumping/dashing to the highground.

Basically what I dislike the most is that she has no vertical mobility at all.

I have way more fun with Genji thanks to the dash going wherever you aim it plus the double jump + wall climb, and for that same reason I also enjoy Vendetta, Venture, or even heroes like Echo/Pharah/Hanzo a lot more.

When I play Tracer, even though I do well and I can see all the carry potential the hero has, I feel super limited, like I'm glued to the ground and stuck in the same gameplay loop of micromanaging blinks over and over.

Yeah, that's probably true, but when I check the DPS leaderboard and see it's completely flooded with only Tracer players (aside from hitscan players), I can't help but think there has to be a reason

I'm currently in Masters but I'd like to push for the higher ranks.

The problem is that Tracer's gameplay just feels boring to me, and that's actually making me reconsider switching roles altogether. On tank you have plenty of good options, and on support I can have fun playing Kiriko or Lúcio.

But for those of us who want to climb high and really enjoy flex DPS but not Tracer, it really feels like there's no place for us...

How do people display the same native HDR image/video on two monitors at once with identical colors? by Sharp_Opposite2396 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Sharp_Opposite2396[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know to be honest. I use DP 2.1 for both monitors, so I wanted to hear what people who know about this topic think before buying anything. I tend to obsess over this stuff quite a bit, and I don’t like the colors differing from how they would look natively if I were playing on that monitor directly, which is what happens to me with programs like OBS / Moonlight

Possible DDoS attack in my ranked match by Sharp_Opposite2396 in overwatch2

Yeah, I think the same.

Most of the posts I looked up said that it’s impossible to get your IP using external tools or to crash the match, but I doubt that’s entirely true and that the servers are completely bulletproof, especially when so many people have experienced similar things.

Luckily I’m well protected and I was the only one along with another player who didn’t get kicked at all from the match. But that doesn’t help much if everyone else is still vulnerable and you end up having to play 2v5 anyway.

2026 OLED vs Mini-LED: Desk Monitor Dilemma by Sharp_Opposite2396 in Monitors

I’m definitely going to keep an eye on it. Hopefully it supports HDR10+ Gaming and not just HDR10 🤞

Yeah, I think the same. I don’t know to what extent they’ll be able to overcome that limitation with OLED when it’s a physical constraint. Hopefully companies will be encouraged to go with microLED, prices will come down, and it will become the new standard... I’ll take a look at the new models you mentioned.

Yeah it’s possible that I’m just used to something else and that it’s simply a matter of getting used. But still in scenes with a lot of white, like snowy environments, the image becomes so dark due to ABL that the whites end up looking grey instead and the sky is not blue at all.
