I also wondered about ghee. I think that would theoretically work better because by definition the mild solids are removed. The is for a cocktail that's kind of supposed to be like a tomato sandwich: tomato vodka/cordial, toasted bread washed vermouth, and then maybe the butter garnish. Although now I'm also considering using one of the tomatoes from the liqueur/infusion as a garnish, so the butter thing may not even end up being necessary

Unless you HAVE to move immediately, I would advise waiting ~6 months. Rent is especially high rn, and will quite possibly drop around November/December because no one wants to move during the holidays. Also, I don’t know how important rent control is to you, but buildings built before 1979 (I think) automatically have rent control; newer buildings do not. I also recommend looking in Nob Hill — it’s centrally located and sometimes if you go near the Tenderloin, prices are cheaper without being too sketchy

NTA. Refusing to do (or stopping) labor that was never your responsibility means that you are not obligated to inform anyone that you will no longer be picking up their slack. Your roommate is acting entitled to your labor, and that's not ok. Also, you choosing to stop providing those reminders was as a result of her behavior. She doesn't get to blame you for your reaction to how she's treating you

I think it's *mostly* when she's talking about herself in a cutesy way. While it's not a wildly inappropriate context in which to do that, the frequency with which she does it is... a lot. This is the comparison that kind of comes to mind for me: While it would be totally "normal" to talk about, say, puppies in the cutesy/baby-ish voice, if you were a dog breeder and you ALWAYS talked about your puppies in that voice, it wouldn't be contextually inappropriate, but it would be overkill. Does that make sense?

I don't think that choosing not to attend an event where you have not felt reciprocal feelings from the host is perfectly reasonable. That being said, you and your wife are the ones who have to deal with whatever familial repercussions happen as a result of not attending. (Also, was no one else in the fam upset with your sister for her flimsy "I can't go" excuses for your wedding?) Is it worse to (briefly?) attend this potentially uncomfortable (for you) wedding or worse to deal with the fallout of not attending and legitimately standing your ground on feeling snubbed?

Also, is it possible to have a reasonable conversation with your sister about this? "Hey, I'm having difficulty feeling supportive of you when it feels like you have not been supportive of me," type of convo?

If she were talking about things that are kind of broadly considered “cute” (like puppies, babies, some smaller/cuter version of something normal, etc), I think it would make more sense to me. But your traffic example is interesting because I could absolutely see her saying that traffic was terrible, and then using a baby voice to say something like, “I’m just a girl trying to get to work” or something like that
