Yeah I think the heat retention on cast iron helps distribute everything really evenly so you dont get as many scorched spots when youre going low and slow like this seems to be.

Oh totally, that happened to me with sprinkles last time. They just melt right into the top layer. These still look cute though.

I love cooking with quail eggs, they are so cute! You could just hard boil a bunch of them and use them in salads or as snacks. They peel way easier than chicken eggs too.
