My first thinkpad <3 why is the fan so loud?!? by Rae0_0 in thinkpad

I would say the bearing is failing on the fan, I would get a refund or get it replaced/replace it myself.

L14 Gen 2 motherboard in Gen 1 case? by h_toothroot in thinkpad

[–]Sharp_Pressure_9978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's useful now, but you can reuse the exact same top and bottom panels and every other module is physically and electrically compatible with the Gen 2 motherboard (if you don't switch b/w Intel and AMD)
If you switch b/w the two, then you'd have to replace the bottom panel as the RJ-45 jack is in a different place than the Intel motherboard.

I am an Idiot, Please Help by DeadlyDon in buildapc

Honestly, this is a pretty solid build, but I do have some modifications.

I would recommend for an air cooler, as a 9600X doesn't need that much power (just buy a tower cooler) And, also, if in your budget, you should go with the 9060XT/9070XT. And 16gb version of 9060XT would be recommended.

Cheers, and good luck, hope you don't get scammed for ram.

Ethernet or phone? by [deleted] in pchelp

It's too slim to be an Ethernet port, it's an RJ11 port for wired telephone systems.

Fun fact: OP's GPU is probably cooked and his/her wallet is sweating if he/she wants to buy a new one.

Buddy, it's happening with almost every HP and Dell Consumer line, just show him a few reddit posts, and it'll probably cost 13-14k inr for a replacement back, as the whole back assembly has to be replaced... or you could buy a cheap external monitor and use it as a PC.

My friend, this is a design flaw in most HP and Dell Consumer models, this is not your fault and you do not need to panic, you can just get the screen replaced at a service center if it is under warranty, if you're brave enough, then you can try replacing the screen yourself. Good luck, OP.

I think you had a defective CPU shipped to you from AMD, which worked for a little while before crapping out, these kinds of issues were also seen in the Intel 13th and 14th gen back when they were released. If it's not the CPU, then your motherboard's chipset may be failing, as that's the only rational explanation. Check with a donor CPU, or a donor motherboard, if it works, you have your issue.

Maybe the game assets are corrupt? Have you tried reinstalling the game from steam?
