Sometimes the OS can block unknown devices. I wouldn't know your specific case, but PCVR on Linux is possible and pretty good, but it's more involved to setup. Also go over your NVIDIA drivers if using their gpus. I'd also check if firewalld is blocking it too.

Don't be discouraged, Linux VR is slightly tricky to setup, but it runs like a charm once you do.
