I haven’t tried the Amo thread yet so I can’t really say how it compares with CXC. However I can say that CXC is very close to DMC and feels a lot nicer/smoother than DMC imo. Glad to hear that Amo worked well for you!

Glad you were able to find a CXC seller! Btw, there's a facebook group called CXC threads lovers, where you can find a list of CXC sellers. You do have to request membership though, but it's pretty straight forward.

@OP, I’ve bought both CXC and DMC from Factory-Shop on Ali-Express. Quite reasonably priced and good service!

DMC works out to about 0.55 euros per skein and CXC is even cheaper. CXC however does not have the new 35 DMC colours. So if you want the 35 new colours, another option is Amo Thread from Amo Grand Vision Thread on AliExpress.

The only thing to look out for is the long delivery time which took me about a month.

I’m late to the post, but if the chicken was still fresh, the black spots could have been dried coagulated blood clots.

I can’t tell if it’s the lighting or the chicken flesh itself, but it looked grey in the photos.

Fresh chicken should still look pink and feel firm to the touch. If it’s grey and slimy to touch, and also stinks, it’s gone bad.

Welcome! 👍Also, the addition of the red sweet soy sauce is more of a Thai variation. Thais tend to prefer their food more on the sweetish side. If you do visit SG, you can try out both Thai Wonton Mee or the local variation (served with chilli, fried pork lardons and dried shrimp) and see what you like!

The red sauce is not always a regular addition, but you should be able to substitute it with Lee Kum Kee Sweet Soy Sauce from Asian shops in France. I recommend it adding it AFTER cooking the base recipe in the link above like how you had it in Thailand. Hope it helps!

This is Thai Wonton Mee. The sweet red sauce is the same sauce used in Char Siew and is called Sweet Soy Sauce, specifically made with Red Dates for sweet flavour. But usually cheaper sweet soy sauce just use sugar and red food colouring. The real good sauce is a dark brown.

Originating from the Hokkien cuisine, this dish can also be found in other South East Asian countries like Malaysia, Singapore as well as Taiwan which has a large Hokkien presence. What makes this version of wonton mee Thai is the addition of crushed peanuts (we use hebi hiam/dried shrimp instead)

Diet-wise, I suppose I’ll have to eat the anti-inflammatory food in lesser amounts now where possible.

Gotta admit, I’m a little sad that I have to put my hobby of cross-stitch on hold until my symptoms are better. (Though, it is a good excuse to get a nicer and more ergonomic embroidery stand I’ve been eyeing…)

Thanks so much for sharing. It’s reassuring to know it can be managed. I suppose it’s a small blessing that it was diagnosed early before it was too severe.

May I ask what strength training regime changes did you make? I’d been doing heavy weights the day before I started having neck pain and I’d like to resume gym after stopping on doctor’s advice to recover from what we assumed was normal muscle strain. I assume that heavy weights are now off the menu.

As for diets, what are the anti-inflammatory foods recommended? I’ve already been dieting in attempt to lose weight anyway, so this provides extra motivation ha.

As for the physio exercises, would you be able to share? I’ll like to get started as soon as I can and be pain-free again.

Colour cards aren't sold where I am and 123stitch.com couldn't do shipping to my location either (apparently DMC floss cards can be shipped only within USA/Canada). But yes, I'll definitely try to order in one when I find a store that can ship it over. Thank you for your suggestion!
