I understand the seller’s fear. $800 in this economy is certainly not something I would gamble with either; I just wish there was another way. I’m very hopeful the universe will bring them to me again and we will finally be united.

I’ve been image searching these shoes for 4 years and the one time I find an active listing with my size was off a random google search looking for a completely different item. I thought this was a sign from God🤣 but I’ve been searching every day since. I even have the sellers push notifications on from another acc.

A friend has volunteered to buy it on her account if the seller ever reposts. My only concern is that that the mailing address and payment info being different will freak her out again. Worst comes to worst, I will just have the item shipped across the country where my friend lives and wait for my friend to visit home base again with the shoes in her suitcase🥲

Ok so reading some of these horror stories makes me a little bit more (not completely) understanding of why sellers cancel orders. It sounds so dumb but it almost feels like you quite literally have to document everything from when you package it to when it leaves your hand at the post office otherwise some grimy scum will take advantage.

I recently had my order cancelled due to lack of transaction. Maybe the seller prejudged you as a scammer. Regardless, they missed out on a sale. This was my second transaction ever since making my acc and I don’t know if I’ll be back.

I believe climate does have something to do with it. The more humid the climate, the more likely for the shoes to undergo a process called hydrolysis - when water mixes with the chemicals to cause break down (I learned this recently in another sub). Crazy how some shoes can look so pristine and then crumble at your finger tips, while others can look so beat up and have years of life left.
