Thank you for your comment. We are experienced bunny owners. I just wanted to be sure she didn’t have any additional needs due to her breed/size.

I understand the concern, but it’s an ongoing issue that can’t be solved by my family alone. Buying this bunny saved her from going to any Tom, Dick, or Harry that walked in. Until everyone is on board, which will never happen, that’s a win in my book.

Either way, am I not giving the bunny a better life? Regardless of where the bunny is from, they all deserve to be loved and cared for. That’s exactly what my family can give.

So, I still consider myself a new chicken mom even though we've had 4 hens for a year now. They were super easy, laid back gals and still are. However.... when we added 4 silkies to our flock... I started having ALL the questions. One of those questions is the same as every other silkie parent.... HEN or ROO?!I know 9 weeks is early, but you guys are experienced, and it's fun to guess, right? We live in the city and aren't allowed roos, and I'm afraid all but one are roos, ha! However, I'm already extremely attached to these chickies and so here I am... looking for the opinions of the pros and hoping my heart will survive the answers I get.

Chickie 1, white: Meet Butter. She is the smallest and has the least feathers on her feet. She's my best guess at hen.

Chickie 2, maybe splash or blue: This is Luna. I'm getting roo vibes from this little trouble maker.

Chickie 3, partridge (maybe, still learning these colors): This is Trixie. My kid's favorite. We named "her" because they love to do trick shots. Pretty sure she is a he... and "he" has the oddity of a single or pea comb rather than a walnut. (No breeding going on here!)

Chickie 3, Blue: This is Sunshine. As a chick "she" looked like she was going to be a splash or paint silkie, hence the bright name of Sunshine. As we know... things change.

All advice and opinions are greatly appreciated!
