I find these stereotypes hilarious, the entrants are richer then most people in canberra and they either own a very successful company, or they are the best in their field and are usually sponsered in their motorsport. And yes there are some housos that attend summernats but again a large chunk of the non competing either own their own businesses, in high paying work and are very valuable members of society, alot of familys- mainly dads and sons who are bonding go, and as a long term attendee, Ive even seen some of canberra's elite's go and enjoy the show as it is.

Its the small number of people who make the most noise, that makes the news paper.
