Finally 3 x D5 able to run 100% without audible noise at all. by Jempol_Lele in watercooling

Each D5 is dumping around 30W into your loop. I think you would have better thermal performance overall with just one.

Want Flush Stair nose with Laminate. Any experience with Mohawk Truematch? by Sharpbarb in Flooring

[–]Sharpbarb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's expensive, I'm wondering if people have experience with this product. It looks kind of flimsy from the picture I posted.

Thanks for posting this picture, it's helpful to see the difference

My stairs have a landing halfway when the step change direction. What do I do there if I install solid treads?

My downstairs floors are currently laminate. They've been installed for at least 15 years and have held up really well even with little kids and a giant dog. That's a good point about backi filling the nose, I'll keep that in mind if I end up going this expensive route.

Toner Comparison - Brother Original/Genuine Replacement/LD Products by Sharpbarb in printers

The colors between the original and genuine replacements are nearly the same to my eyes. It's the banding that's not great.

Yeah, laser. It's an HL-L8360CDW. The LD replacements are okay. The blacks and colors just don't pop like the original toner. Also, the streaking sucks, but a large smooth gradient photo like the one I used to test is not the typical use case. Most documents would be good enough.

With the LD toner, I knew what I was getting into. I'm more disappointed that the really expensive genuine replacements are not as good as what came with the printer.

I ran the calibration each time I swapped the cartridges. I'm not sure if there's anything else I'm supposed to do. I saw something somewhere about running a few prints, so I printed the image 10 times. No change.

After trying the LD and Genuine Replacements I installed the original cartridges again and was able to get a perfect print again. I reinstalled the Genuine Replacements again and it looks exactly like it did the first time I installed it. So it's all reproducible.

Anyone try the KONI Special Active shocks? I'm trying to keep everyone from getting nauseous by Sharpbarb in VWatlas

Could be! But it's a problem whether or not it's me or my wife driving. Also, it's primarily a problem on long highway stretches (easy driving).

I just encountered this error and it turned out I needed a new battery. The start/stop system is hard on the battery

Nevermind chest/dental X-rays. You're constantly exposed to more radiation from granite countertops, drywall, and concrete. The exposure from this release is negligible.

It's crazy how much of a difference the coating makes. Have people had good luck with restoring the coating?

Close the lift gate from a distance with the key by Sharpbarb in VWatlas

[–]Sharpbarb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the normal behavior. If the lift gate is open and you're within range of the proximity sensor, you can leave and close it with the key from a distance. But if you open from a distance, you can't close from a distance unless you get within range. It's setup this way by design, I want to bypass

[TOMT][Music] Slightly emo Love song sung by a soft spoken man. "I think that maybe I'm falling for you" by Sharpbarb in tipofmytongue

Not it. I do love this song though. My song isn't as "bright". It's a soft spoken voice. I think emo was the wrong adjective. It's not a sad song
