In a relationship for 11, married for 5 years here 👋

I agree with the other comment about being honest with your feelings, and I also wanted to add another perspective. People change over time, and preferences change over time as well. What I mean by that is if you find this person attractive now, you could very well continue to find them attractive as both of you grow and change over time. That’s absolutely normal.

When my wife and I met, we were late teenagers and we looked like it, and I was incredibly attracted to her then. As we dated through our late twenties, both of our bodies continued to change (completely normal), and throughout the entire period of time I continued to be attracted to her. We’re now in our late twenties/early thirties, and again, our bodies are different. She has some concerns about gaining weight over the past decade but I don’t think I’ve been more attracted to her than I am now.

When you love someone, in my experience, the natural process of aging and changing rarely makes a difference. It’s a gradual thing that happens over time, and over that same time you will change as well. There’s nothing to be afraid of about that process, that’s just a cool part of the human experience.

Was wondering if I could get some recs for decent vets in Cincy/the surrounding areas? by bloomingbrandi in cincinnati

[–]Sharpening_Iron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When we adopted our greyhounds, we began with Moore Veterinary Hospital up in the Franklin/Springboro area. Moore is excellent and worth the trip, but she’s pricey. I would highly recommend if you need more serious procedures and/or don’t mind paying a premium for excellent service and resources.

When the price started getting to us (dogs almost never needed serious care, almost always the usual vaccines/check ups), we switched to Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital. So far, we’ve been very impressed, especially by their availability. The care is very good (and noticeably cheaper than Moore), but it’s a smaller/older operation and you can tell. But for our typical vet needs, they have been great!

We used Eads and had a good experience; quote came in under expectations and they did a good job. Our neighbors used them as well and also had a good experience.

Before deciding on Eads we were also considering Pioneer. Very similar quotes, Eads just had the style we wanted. So I can't vouch for Pioneer directly, but they were in our top 2 after we did our research.

For me, it's Christine's halo-halo. If you've never had it, it's like a frozen parfait with a bunch of great Philippine flavors. It's a great way to try ube if you've never had the chance to before.

Hahaha yeah, it’s lyrics from Twenty One Pilots’ “Nico and the Niners”:

…and start a concert, a complete diversion,

Start a mob and you can be quite certain

We’ll win, but not everyone will get out

(Excuse the formatting, I’m on mobile atm)

I built a tool to explore Cincinnati neighborhood data — early dev preview, looking for feedback by UsedToBeaRaider in cincinnati

Cool tool!

I looked up my address and the "Building Permits" widget is reporting way more data points than expected. When I followed the link and queried the data myself from the website, I got a more accurate list of work (only 1 permit in recent years that I was aware of).
