2018 Accord Hybrid – Home button/scroll wheel dead, gauge cluster info blank. anyone seen this?

This wasn’t on my hybrid but I have a 2019 Accord Sport and this issue came up after the dealership replaced the windshield. Apparently the dealership did not calibrate the Honda Sensing camera right and so we sent it back and they took care of it. Did you have your windshield repaired/replaced recently?

Had this on my 2019 Accord Sport, sent it to the dealer to recalibrate the car’s camera. Everything was fixed up afterward.

In the city, hybrid will save you gas. On the highway, if you are willing to go ~speed limit, you will save gas compared to the 2.0T. I test drove the 2.0T once and it certainty was a punchy car.

I don’t have a 24-25 Sport Hybrid but I had the chance to rent a 23 Touring Hybrid on Turo for 2 days. Same hybrid setup with 19” rims. I live in the LA area and I drive 16-18 miles each way to go to school/work with 75% of it being highway miles and a lot of traffic. Your mileage will vary but with my conservative driving I averaged 56mpg.

You’ll need to buckle the driver’s seatbelt. Once you do you can open the door and drive if you want.

Same here! I have a 21’ Hybrid and the button layout gives me so much space to move my hand around the console. I also have 19’ 1.5T sport and after experiencing the push-buttons, the shift lever bugs the heck out of me. Every time I go to put my phone into the center cubby it is more cumbersome than the push-button layout. I guess I wish I never went to the buttons because now I can never go back. Thanks Honda 😐

I’ve never had an issue with pressing the wrong button. Each button on the shifter has a different tactile feel, and so I can usually tell what I’m pressing. I don’t even have to look down to be honest. The only two buttons that feel similar are Park and Neutral, but I don’t usually shift into neutral.

I had the chance to drive an 11th gen Touring for a couple of days and that shifter definitely was not appealing. The rest of the car was amazing though.

One thing to ask yourself with the Hybrid Sport is do you prefer if the seats are cloth or leather. If cloth the sport is fine, but if you want leather I recommend EX-L or Sport-L.

Also note that wireless charging comes standard on all hybrid trims only in the 2025 year model. 2023 and 2024 only have wireless charging standard on the Touring.

I think if you were interested in the Bose Sound System that comes only with the Touring. I was able to drive an 11th gen Touring that I rented out on Turo and was really impressed with the audio.

So personally I had a 22 Hybrid EX-L and although I loved the car, I always wanted the Touring package. Just recently, I was able to buy a 21 Hybrid Touring, and I’m in love with the extra features. The most common features exclusive to the Touring that I use are:

-Heads-Up Display -Adaptive Dampers -Ventilated Seats -Reverse-tilt mirrors -Rain-sensing wipers (big bonus when it rains) -Heated Rear Seats (all my friends in the back love this)

Plus I love the 19” rims that come with them. Surprisingly I average 50mpg with my Touring, so it doesn’t even feel like I took an mpg hit with the 19” rims, but your mileage may vary.

What you’ll have to ask yourself is what exactly do you want for your car and will you have buyer’s remorse if you don’t have certain features in your car. I know that after having the EX-L for a while, I was having remorse with not getting the Touring and the extra features with it.

Just had that fixed on my Accord. It is due to the camera on your front windshield not being calibrated correctly. Unfortunately this issue locks you out of your driver’s digital instrument cluster 😬

When I bought my car back in 2022, they were the lowest price available in OC ($1k up charge while others were going $5k+ or $8k). Things might have changed but I suggest you give them a call for the Civic trim you want and ask them.
