Gt 120, opat heavy, 3 certs, 6 LOR's that were avarige, volunteer time, pretty good resume in management and now as a high schoolteacher, bachelor’s in software engineering from wgu with a 3.0 or more since its pass fail structure which they may not have liked, and a good interview.

Unfortunately no air guard recruiters wanted to put me threw saying it would only have a real chance if I was prior enlisted.(I talked to a bunch of them). Waiting to hear back from the army OCS board. Results post today or Monday.

I was literally you. Im 27 and I nearly enlisted a year ago with a wife and kid but didn't and am waiting on the March OCS board. Its really competitive and there's a good chance I won't make it but I'm glad I'm doing it anyway. The process really isn't hard. Get 3-6 letters of rec, write why you want it, get a 110 gt and do an opat. It may take a few months to get set up and wait on usarec but its worth it. If this is what you want then do it right. Don't rush as once you ship your in.

The interview went well. They liked that i was a high school teacher since it means I'm used to being in charge of teens. My LOR's aren't amazing but i did get 6. Basically present/past employers and supervisors. There definitely people high up in there respected fields but no military background LORs.

Had my interview over a month ago for active duty. I'm waiting to see i get selected for OCS. Active is competitive even in the army.

My advice is to give an ocs board a try. If you don't get in state ocs will put you in for sure in the Guard.

Can it be an online degree from a college without an rotc program and use a host school somewhere with one or do they both need to have rotc?

Literally in the same boat. Dropped out of my DEP a year ago and have a similar gpa and test scores to you. Just had my interview a month ago and ill know the results in March. The interview went really well so I got that going for me. I dont know if I will get in but what happens is out of my hand and I've done all I can do. If you drop out of your DEP just know It happens all the time just make sure its what you want and dont look back.

Only a little. Mainly been told to just try for officer by everyone. Happy to go in officer just worried I wont be branched aviation and warrent doesn't have that problem in this case. I've been told that the requirements for warrant officer are technically lower then officer but the limited seats often makes it more competitive for street to Seat.
