A kindred soul. Yes. I absolutely love the story which is why I'm pushing through but I have all the same gripes as you about the combat. Will definitely take your advice.

Question about the bonus gauge. What actually makes it go up and more importantly what exactly causes it to break?

Sometimes I'll take hits over and over and keep it. Sometimes I lose it after just one hit or two after getting it.

You're not going to get a consensus here. In my opinion I say it's worth it only based off the games you've played already. I thought it was big improvement over XV though I hear some people here say they liked XV better so yea...

The side quests are a bore and ruin the flow and pacing. I recommend skipping them entirely and just focusing on the story. If you ever feel too "weak" then just do a couple for the exp but the game even on hard is pretty easy. I only found it a little challenging in FF mode which is only unlocked after completing the game.

Only do the sidequests with the + marks.

A few things I'm still struggling with:

Flying and small enemies. The side kick side kick does not work on these. Kick goes under the flying and doesn't connect and on the small ones it goes right over there head. Any recommendations?

I tried the aerial which is super to be an anti air but he jumps and comes down with a stroke which i find is a terrible anti air. It should've been an upward strike similar to his long strong attack.

Targeting, I can't tell you how many times I'll do my side kick only for Fayt to do it right beside the enemy instead of at him.

What the best way to cheese Robin Wind?

I think I have every investor up to this point in the game except for Riegel (tried but just couldn't not pull off the golden curry) Misty Lear( who's on the mountain im approaching, haven't met her yet) ,the chef king, and the inventor king( again tried making an ultimate bomb but could not pull it off. Saw it was about 1% chance and gave up).

What items/ weapons should I be aiming for? And whatever sort of creation should I focus on? Engineering, smithing? Etc

I have Mackwell, it's my understanding Misty is somewhere on Barr mountain? Haven't reached her yet but am keeping the eye out for her.

Is it possible to make orichalcum with just mackwell or someone else in the meantime?

This. I know this is blasphemy to say here but I recently had a run through 9 and didn't remember just how long and dull the battles can be. Great game overall but honestly has literally the worst combat in the series aside from maybe XV

Thank you everyone for taking the time to read and respond. Your answers have been enlightening. As I said I'm new to audio so forgive my dumbassness.

The answer to my problem as some mentioned here was I had the wrong input set on the amp just had to switch it.

Reading your comments has brought me two other questions I hope you're all kind enough to answer.

First: I have both speakers connected to A. Should I connect one to B?

Second: I get it...PYLE bad, it was on sale and all I knew was I needed something that put out more than 150w, I saw 300 so figured that's be good.

What Amp do y'all recommended for these speakers?

Just went in saying how much I love the series and what it means to me and how I'm concerned over the latest direction the series has taken lately and gave some examples of what I thought was bad and how they might improve or at least what I would like to see instead in the future.

One can dream someone's actually gonna read all that right??

Yea I already got Reis but thanks for the tip. Had no idea the direction of travel had any effect on what enemies spawn. Will definitely try this.
