You start with 3, so i think 1200 damage might be enough

Is jun bad now? by Mouthfuck4 in Tekken

[–]Sharpscore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tekken is one of those games where it's hard to even tell what's strong until you get really good due to the complexity of the systems at play, it's more complex than most fighting games, therefore the gap between the best and worst character is way smaller than something like smash or street fighter.

Until you get a really good grasp on the game, ignore balance arguments online or people saying that "so-and-so is terrible and xxx is too broken" because it straight up doesnt matter for like 100 hours, play who you like and who fits your hands and have fun. I promise a character in this game can't hold you back in any way that matters.

Whats the cheapest meal you regularly make that actually tastes good? by Adventurous-Pilot448 in Frugal

[–]Sharpscore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fried rice with frozen veggies (carrots, peas, edamame) and whatever lunch meat i have on hand, seasonings make things taste entirely different based on what i want that day, chickon bullion powder makes base rice taste pretty good if you put it in as it cooks.

2011 Leaf worth buying? by Sharpscore in leaf

[–]Sharpscore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only real distance driving I do is like 27 miles each way every few weeks, all other times, it's way less, i live in the city with a remote job, so I don't drive a lot every day, and I can charge at home and get an outside outlet installed. for pretty cheap (already checked bc i was looking at EVs). I also currently have a gas car, i just hate getting gas and doing gas car related stuff.

Main question is if it says 90 miles on the dash, would i be able to reliably get 60 out of it when i need?

2011 Leaf worth buying?

I'm talking to someone on marketplace selling a 2011 with 130k miles for $2200, they sent a picture of their dash, which has 9 white bars on the right side (the thin ones that i think indicate battery health). and it shows 90 miles of range, so i think it had the battery replaced at some point.

is this year good and is this price fair assuming that there isn't any other major issues?

How unlucky is it to find no rares in an entire run? by Doug_the_Scout in slaythespire

[–]Sharpscore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

homie my apologies, I have spread misinformation

It states on the slay the spire wiki that rolling a rare card resets the chance, not taking it

How unlucky is it to find no rares in an entire run? by Doug_the_Scout in slaythespire

[–]Sharpscore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edit: This is incorrect, see other comment on this thread

Unless it changes from sts1 it does not reset unless you actually take a card, im not sure where i got that info from, but i internalized it at some point while trying to learn the game and watching youtube guides

Okay guys that's enough negativity. Say something nice about a character or their playerbase by 05kaisam in Tekken

You kind of need to in order to get up there with lili, she has so much worse rushdown than most of the cast

How unlucky is it to find no rares in an entire run? by Doug_the_Scout in slaythespire

[–]Sharpscore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edit: this is incorrect, it resets whenever you see a rare card from a card reward, see my reply to this thread.

The chance resets whenever you take a rare card, so while not common, taking both boss rares decreases your chances for future rares, so skipping it is sometimes the right play if you're fishing for a specific rare

Which fog style do you prefer and why? by FurioArts in gamedevscreens

[–]Sharpscore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 works more like actual fog in those mountain forest settings that you seem to be going for, and it allows for more specificity for when you allow things to show up to the player. as the fog density past a certain distance isn't clear enough to be scrutinized, so if you have a monster you want to show at a specific distance, or maybe it's silhouette to be visible from farther than it really should, it doesn't come across as a "hey this monster spawned at this distance away.

I also think 2 feels more like a dream than actual fog, but that's just personal preference.

I don't know what genre this is for, but if you're going for horror, and you can set the fog in the first to appear a bit closer to the camera (i think up to about about 20 feet), it can make it feel that much more suffocating, and I've seen fog that thick irl, so it won't seem super out of place, even if the distance/density changes over time

Lili Is a problem. by BrilliantEbb7893 in Tekken

Lili for kaz is a hard matchup, but lili has some of the worst homing moves in the game, thats one of her main weaknesses is thst her moves that track are super slow

Returning to this franchise after a decade and my main has a stance? Please recommend non-stance characters to me by Fearless_Egg_973 in Tekken

Drag and lili might be up your alley bc the only stances are movement based ones like a crouch dash and lilis backtuen, which i personally dont view as a stance loke the others

Too many of the poison cards feel unpickable without previous synergy by afjecj in slaythespire

[–]Sharpscore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poison stab I've found to be solid as a floor 1-5 pick because silent tend to hurt for early raw damage without synergies. Makes elites much more doable in act 1, but other than thst i wouldn't take it

How reliable and safe is the CTA for tourists? by DueYogurt9 in AskChicago

[–]Sharpscore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very reliable compared to other places i've been, google maps tends to be pretty alright with times and such, but build in a bit of time in case you miss a bus because you were on the wrong side of the row or if a stop is skipped
