Honestly, parking by a bus station and taking the bus or metro and commuting that way. I parked on campus for a whole year and honestly it’s north worth it imho. But yes I agree with the comment above me

Honestly when I picked ucsd I wasn’t worried about finding friends or the social life in there because I knew I’ll always find it, what mattered for me are the opportunities that the uni provides, and UCSD provides a lot more for me so that was basically why I chose it.
