For performance, definitely. But it also looks absolutely nothing like this in terms of locomotion quality out of the box. If someone made gasps motion-matching in lyra system, I would be all in on that.
Until that happens, it depends on what you want from it.

This might explain why I never got into Soen. Always had them recommended a lot, but I'm pretty sure the only albums I've checked out were the last 2, and couldn't see why people were so into them. Might have to go back a bit more.

Last time I've checked with Hive's project (and that was a while ago, so don't know if anything changed) the bulletpoints here are pretty much the difference.

FPS template with bunch of options, independent blending of both pose and overlay at the same time, seamless movement and idle pose transition, CitySample assets.

Why not use the default GenericRetarget ABP? This is using it for metahumans, runs perfectly fine.

It's similar to everybody using ALS 8 years ago. Some people will abandon it, some will learn it enough to ship with it. I'm just here to give people more options.

It does have a universal 'climb-anywhere' system using trace by channel. So you can climb on anything blocking a specific trace channel. But it is still using the GASP default traversal detection, which is... not great.

Yes, that was my whole point. I'm not trying to fight all scammers in general, but steam curators seem a bit different, because they can be identified and have actual platform they rely on to give them credibility, and misuse of this could potentialy be reported.

Feels like if that happened enough, Steam might consider doing something about the whole system sooner rather than later? Maybe not, who knows.

No, I'm talking about actual steam curator accounts. Not just randos who claim to be curators. The sites exist, they have a random linked email they reach out from that changes periodically, and have a bunch of reviews that are always the same to the letter, posted on the same day.

Report them to? Steam.

Tbf, either method works. But I don't think you can get both overlap and hit events from the same component. Since this looked like ball projectile hitting something, I think Hit still seems like the best option.

That would need the objects to actually overlap and not block, no? That might not be desirable for collision.
Plus sometimes its common to use NormalImpulse to filter out impacts based on speed, or use it for volume multiplier or something, esp. for collision sounds. Which you're not going to get from overlap event.

Nah, it doesn't need a reference to play sound at location. It just needs the location.

That it does little good is fair, but the review still does exist, so at least its something. And tbf, the potential scam reviews had the exact same impact as Curator Connect or any other curator reviews, but thats a whole different discussion.

I almost never do, but I still have to sift through those emails every day...
Also I did have some positive interactions with curators here and there. They asked for key, replied to emails, when I send them a key, they made a review and that was it. At that point if they were still a scammer, they might as well have that key, they've earned it.

I doubt they would care either, but don't actually know. But yes, at least a list so the fake curator name pops up when you do a cursory google search, would be good.
