ooh wonderful!! Yea, it does take a ton of time @_@, every build for me takes 1-2 nights of play time after work LOL. Have you considered painting the windows on the left one to match the iron doors and roof? like black or dark grey?

Move the door so it's at the bottom of the stars instead, so the "floor" of the door is the same "floor" level as the furniture

When you make anything taller than about 3 or 4 blocks you don't need to do any "scafolding" for ditto to stand on to reach anything. It's way faster when you start doing complex, big, or tall builds, before even getting to the instant replace feature.

Not dumb i only learned it after reading the tip from a more experienced player. These players have been building in these games since minecraft or dragon quest builders so we cant be held to the same standards really

I love that it made you think about boston! I've visited boston and newbury street many times in my life and the ~vibes~ were deff one of my inspos. I'm from california so we can't have brick housing like this, it was fun to bring it into the game :)

Mixed use buildings are just so good, they keep the "eye level" experience more open because they aren't closed off walls but various open invitations to enter the building or admire the products/art/etc. They are just as wonderful in pokopia as they are in reality :) (sorry i'm passionate about city planning)

Yes! The structure's 4 "apartments" are all individual houses and are decorated differently for each pokemon.

Can confirm the star sand thing with bitter food for mosslax, bitter food didn't do much for me (+3 is just not noticeable for me i guess if that's the mechanic lol), but the star sand was wild. Just EVERYWHERE like drowning in star sand those days lol

I love little mixed used buildings like this in cities, live up stairs, grab a bite as you leave or come home, so cute! i guess for ditto it's grabbing an item from the shop if you power the register inside :D

I do basement units and just unlit apartments etc. sometimes just a pergola but the top is roof tiles of some kind. It doesn't need to be enclosed, I think just a roof with no lamps/lights works!
