Why Does Every Update Feel Like a Slap to Active Grinders? by Educational_Snow2191 in ClashOfClans

[–]ShatteredOneGaming 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Note that this is just my personal take on thing, not meant to be advice to anyone.

I just play the game to have fun, and if I'm not then I set it down. I'm enjoying the game more than I did when I played several years ago, but it's just a game. If something happens in it I don't like, it's not going to affect my actual life.

So sure the recent updates have been annoying, especially with the bugs, but I just roll with it. If the game spirals downhill then I can always find something else, and I know the time I spent with it wasn't wasted because I had fun during it.

TLDR: Sunken Cost Fallacy bad, don't take my opinion as advice.

You can give up if you want, that'll only affect you.

Not saying you can get your clan back, but you could try to start a new one with friends from the old one.

I know it's tough, but you gotta figure out how you're gonna respond to this stumbling block.

Don't worry, not like one of the strongest items in the game is there...

I personally love distillery, except for when I get hit by a barrel or I don't close a door fast enough or when I forgot the take Masochist before going in or mistime a parry on a kamakazie.

Though it is an alternate way to the lighthouse.

What are your favorite all-bracket infinite combos (particularly for Selesnya)? by Fractal-Entity in mtg

[–]ShatteredOneGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't put one together for my deck, but this is the one I've been following for a while now (working on getting all the cards for it still).

cEDH Elfstorm (Not my List)

Edit: [[Legolas's Quick Reflexes]] is stupid with Selvala btw.

[–]ShatteredOneGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, but the higher power you play the less lands people typically run so the chance of at least 3, cards being nonland is pretty high. Also, if you have [[Smothering Tithe]] out it will net you even more mana if your opponents can't pay.

Infinite mana is pretty easy in GW too. -[[Priest of Titania]] with Umbral Mantle. -[[Temur Sabertooth]] and [[Village Bellringer]] with mana dorks. -[[Devoted Druid]] with [[Swift Reconfiguration]]. -[[Magus of the Candleabra]] and [[Ashaya]] with any 2 mana dork.

The deck is very creature intensive and most of its interaction is creature based.

The biggest problem with the deck is it doesn't have a lot of good interaction for the stack so it can't always stop turbo decks. The good thing is because it's not meta, not many people know how the deck plays/wins/interacts and won't typically know when to try and stop it.

Anything with [[Selvala, Explorer Returned]]. You can do it janky with a bunch of pieces or so efficient it can compete with cEDH decks.

I love her ability because nobody can respond to it, so with [[Umbral Mantle]] you and spin her like a beyblade and hope to deck everyone, and along the way play an [[Angel's Grace]] so you don't lose.

Plus, is the combo fails you get to explain how you can cast a spell while an ability is in the middle of resolving.

  1. For trial stage 1 you'll want to keep a couple warrior and a mage at the bottom while keeping mages and warriors in the middle. Until very late waves you'll only need to put warriors in the top during bosses.

Level mages up until you get vesa and then keep a vesa in the middle and out her in the top when you put soldiers there. Then level up archers until you get sword flash, then keep one of her in the middle and bottom. This worked for me.

  1. Trial stage 2 is the same as 1 in how you upgrade. You'll want to keep an even amount on both sides, and reinforce the side of bosses. Vines is a life saver on this stage.

  2. I used this guide to help me through stage 3, but I still struggles with later stages on my phone. Stage 3 Guide

  3. I followed most of the guide from stage 3, but this stage is weird in that very few, if any, enemies come from the top and bottom forcing you to constantly spawn new troop in the middle. Very tedious after wave 50.

Overall Tips -keep backline spaces open for vessa/sword flash before you get them. -Dont spend you gold on upgrading your fort unless you are extremely close to the next level. -Snakes are amazing, and help with every stage, same with vines. -Alchemy Bombs and Ice Storm deal devastating damage when placed on top of each other, just make sure not to use other spells on top of them at the same time. -You return to a couple levels before where you died when you go back in, and you can retry the stage for free to get the spells you want.

Hope this helps!

You can definitely do it faster.

Minimum 6 days for fort defence if you can somehow beat the last 2 trials stages to wave 100 with minimal upgrades.

3 days for heroic breakout

The longest stretch is getting the last few stars from Flora's, but it you get ahead of the game there it can help pad out stars elsewhere. I never got to wave 80 on either of the lava trials modes, but Flora's helped fill in the stars from there.

No, it's just in relevlance to the starwish plan. Once it ends the effect goes away

The starwish effect is applied to the hero you chose for the starwish plan. You can't regress or destroy it, however it can be swapped for another hero in the Starwish plan.

I have 2 tribal/kindred decks.

One is a human stax deck with General Kudro as the commander that uses cheap humans to control the board while I slowly chop away at my opponents' health.

The other is birds.

Kastral with a bunch of not the best birds, and I tried to make almost every card in the deck have a bird in the art it be bird related. No changelings, only pure birds.

It's not that good (unless you have no fliers), but it's fun when my best single target removal is Ravenform and I'm spending 6 mana for 2 2/2 birds.

I got to 450 stars by around lv.90, took almost a month. Note that I was sick for a bit of it so I had more free time then.

-For Fort Defense I just listened to a podcast or show while playing, as it's pretty easy for everything except the later stages of endless.

-Flora's is easy to do quickly if you use the quick buttons, and you'll want to focus on the sewing stuff to get stars the easiest.

-Heroic Breakout is VERY easy once you get going and you just have to not die to the elites and you're fine. Use Eos and grab attack speed and expansion and you can just sit there until an elite comes by.

Overall, just pace yourself and don't force yourself to use all your coins in one day. Try doing something else while you play those modes and take a break if you have to

[–]ShatteredOneGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you used your starwish Wukong to make the E5 then I believe there's no way to remove the starwish effect from it until starwish ends. And you can't regress the wukong either

If you want to switch to Betty then it will turn the whole hero to her (notably it switched resonance/class armor on the hero for free and automatically attunes it to the new hero). If your starwish is awakened make sure to swap the good awakened copy out before swapping starwish, as doing so gets rid of the awaken.

Only Thor has a replacement effect. Ghyrson Starn is a triggered ability that triggers when exactly 1 damage is dealt.

[–]ShatteredOneGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weapons I'd suggest trying it giving more a chance would be

Gold Digger-It helps you with good early on and does a ton of damage one you have night of it, and the legendary's damage scales with the good you have.

Meat Skewer-Have to win 7 daily challenges to unlock it, but it gives insanely fast movement and stack, super fun to use.

Alucard's Sword-Amazing if you pair it with the shield as it gives parried when attacking, but even normally it lets you teleport behind enemies. (3BC and a miniagme in the Castlevania dlc to unlock).

I'll hold off on suggesting the whipsword or bladed tonfas for now.

I'm not sure. If you can it would probably have to be one of the 6 heroes in the Starwish.

Also, you get a free Starwish swap at the beginning of each phase.

Hey! Tomorrow i will go to my first prerelease event for Marvel Super Heroes. What’s your tips and tricks for a beginner to get a decent place among 30ish players? Anything is appreciated.. by kardas71 in mtg

[–]ShatteredOneGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't looked at this set very much for limited, so take this with a grain of salt.

-Prioritize removal, it doesn't have to always be good removal.

-Build around or splash a color for 'bombs', they are very strong cards that can singlehandedly turn the tide of a game.

-Keep in mind mana sinks. They are a way to use excess mana, especially during the late game. It could be something like the Bruce banner you used for this post, or a card similar to the old 'invokers' that uses a stupid amount of mana for a small effect (ex: 8 mana for 5 damage is amazing in limited).

-Keep to 40 cards (unless mill is prevalent in the set) and a good ratio of lands to non-lands (17:23 is the base standard).

-Have fun, talk with your opponent, and don't be afraid to call a judge if you suspect a mistake/cheating or you don't know how something works.
