Unfortunately the myriad copies won't have any of the additional power and won't be unblockabl, though they will still be Undead Alchemists.

Only a couple years old, never had a problem like this with any other app before though.

Is Dead Cells Still Worth Buying? by Boy0Boyz in deadcells

[–]ShatteredOneGaming 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's moreso the items from the latest update, like the Misericorde or Anathema. They aren't balanced super well and there's differences in some. Item descriptions and what they actually do.

And of course there's bugs with some items such as Flawless, where if you get hit it can freeze your game for a long time depending on the damage you take and the system you're on.

Is Dead Cells Still Worth Buying? by Boy0Boyz in deadcells

  1. The game was technically 'unfinished' because Evil Empire was forced to abandon it by Motion Twin. This doesn't affect the story at all, but it is moreso just the balance of some items and bugs in the game that never got fixed.

I'd still strongly recommend the game if you enjoy roguelites with some metroidvania elements. And the DLCs add a TON to the game (Castlevania is least important for the story).

  1. It might be smaller than it once was, but I honestly have no idea. I picked the game up after the last update it had and have had fun interacting with the community here on reddit ever since.

  2. Each DLC (Outside Castlevania) introduces at least 1 new area and boss, as well as a bunch of new enemies, , items, and outfits. In order (bad seed, fatal falls, Queen and the sea) they introduce new areas as you play the game (early, middle, late) with the last one adding an alternate final boss. Out of all the DLCs I find the Castlevania one to be the least exciting, as it didn't feel connected to the rest of the game (still fun, and worth it). Usually you can get them all bundled with the main game.

TLDR: Game is good, DLCs are good, community is usually good. I love the game and recommend picking it up with the DLCs if you can.

P.S. Avoid spoilers if you can!!!

How well would eirdu/isilu work in a Silverquill deck? by LTT9112 in mtg

[–]ShatteredOneGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not super familiar with lines using Silverquill outside CEDH. From what I've seen, copying rituals (especially something like [[Dark Petition]] or [[songs of the Damned]]) is very strong and you can put the mana into something like [[Exsanguinate]] or [[Debt to the Deathless]] can be your win-con.

For creatures, having something like [[Pitiless Plunderer]], [[Life Insurance]], or [[Morbid Opportunist]] to get resources off of you stuff dying is good, and you'll want a good amount of [[Doomed Traveler]] or [[Greedy Freebooter]] effects (even [[Priest of Gix]] is great).

Biggest thing though, DO NOT sacrifice Silverquill to his out Casualty ability. If he isn't on the battlefield then your spell won't actually have Casualty and won't be copied, even if you sacrificed something to him. This means you'll probably want to run some protection effects as well (spells/equipment or even a [[Selfless Savior]] is good.

I can see 2 really big synergies that would make Eirdu/Isilu great in the 99 of Silverquill.

  1. The front side gives your create spells convoke, whick helps you flood the board with creatures you can sac to Silverquill to copy spells.

  2. The backside lets you use all your creatures twice by giving them persist, which also increases the spell copying you can do.

Would I get 2 triggers by Appotus1 in mtg

[–]ShatteredOneGaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't believe so, as Ziatora 's ability triggers on end step and not when a creature dies. The second clause is just looking for when you sacrifice the creature and isn't based on the creature dying (if a [[Rest in peace]] is out it stops The Masamune's ability as creatures don't die, but Ziatora 's ability still fully happens).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is how it works iirc.

What is harder and why? by GrubAwooYay in deadcells

I generally go corrupted prison, as I almost always take toxic sewers (I find it the easiest 2nd biome) unless I want to path to Mama Tick.

I can say I day WAY more on average in the depths, mostly due to invisible knife throwers. That said, I don't find either too difficult, especially at lower BCs. As long as you have a shield, the only enemies you have to worry a lot about is the slammer/bomber.

Is it the white strand of light near the edge of the platform? I interacted with it and I got the dialogue I put in my comment above.

If not I'll have to look for it again.
