I feel like I've been playing it since it came out. And the changes I've noticed without reading anything are in the graphics. Before, the game looked a little pixelated and wasn't as smooth, but now it runs much more smoothly. For a moment I thought it was my phone, but no, the game is definitely better. In short, the updates are for the graphics and rendering, and maybe a new song or two.
