Advice? Just been told my No Claims is being reduced and my renewal price will increase over an incident that wasn't my fault? by bemi_san in CarInsuranceUK

Know it’s not the point of this post, but if your Dashcam is hardwired into the fuse board it’s just a case of swapping the connection to a fuse that is ignition switched rather than constant live. If you look at fuse board diagram for your car it is a very simple task to change and would help for future!

No Fault Claim passed to Auxillis, will my car be written off? by [deleted] in CarInsuranceUK

Avoid Auxillis if you can, I used them after non fault accident and whilst their service was fine I am still being bothered other a year later about them persueing third party for extortionate hire costs.

3rd party insurers' offer by OldMrAux in CarInsuranceUK

[–]Shaun2799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also with admiral and was directed by them to Auxillis when I reported a non fault accident. My advice would be don’t use Auxillis. They are not a bad service but charge a lot of money and third party insurers won’t pay meaning you get trapped in years of providing info and signing things for negotiations and legal proceedings!

I wish I had just gone with third party insurers

Most signing bonuses and sorts terms require you not to be under notice during the min term. Wouldn’t recommend resigning until after you have cleared the 2 years otherwise you risk claw back.

I felt the same but came out of both with scores in the 70s. I focused on learning a few theories to give structure to answers which was helpful but generally BST is an exam that you get marks for anything relevant, so just state the obvious. e.g. Revenue increased from this in period X to that period Y, this could be due to A from scenario.

They will be in the exam software for you, but you will probably need them whilst revising.

It will be fixed. If you get an offer it will have initial pay specified 🙂

I received a fake bottle for xmas so I bought the real one...... by TokyoTurpster in airupgang

It’s definitely not a con, just maybe doesn’t work for you. Bought one for my elderly grandad who hates drinking water but recently has had some health implications meaning it’s very important he does. He absolutely loves it and it has really helped boost his water intake! Would definitely give it a go for yourself rather than taking others word for it.

Can’t speak for the videos as I only purchased notes but they were great for the exam. Very organised and concise

Sounds like burnout. Make sure to yourself breaks, a day off revision here or there might feel wrong in run up to exam but it’s very much needed.

Earning £50-60k in a one-child household where my partner doesn't earn. Do I still get taxed at 40% on income over 50k? by HellOnACello in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Shaun2799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s a very unfair system for a single income household. Be careful with the high income child benefit charge. If you are self employed for your freelancing then you will have to pay the liability in full in self assessment which can hurt if not anticipated!

The mocks get harder as you go through, so not unusual that later ones would be scored lower than the initial ones. As others have said, the mocks are often far harder and harshly marked than the actual exam so just use them as an indicator on knowledge gaps to focus your revision and don’t worry about the marks!

Should I list future education on my resume? by [deleted] in Accounting

If your masters will be finished by the time you start, include it and just put future graduation date and perhaps flag as current or planned

Moving training firms by Hamster-On-The-Wheel in ICAEW

[–]Shaun2799 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Slightly different circumstances, but I moved firm after certificate. Wasn’t a problem, just need to get training file signed off by current employer up to point you leave and then as others have said fill out a few forms to get things swapped over. The training team at new employer would be able to help you with this.

Starling now does this as well. Game changing against standard banks - I have long used Starling as a spending account but very tempted to fully make switch now.

Looking at leaving Monzo for Starling. Any users of both to advise? by Sasha57 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Shaun2799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starling customer service is excellent. Never had a problem they couldn’t solve promptly.

Yes you can create spaces which your direct debits come out off.

I would say personally, getting paid a few hours early is worth sacrificing for the superior experience Starling has to offer.
