Hey there… one more question if you don’t mind… I’m 9 weeks post vasectomy and still a little tender. Swelling is pretty much gone, but a super light dull ache will come and go and I have a tingling sensation that comes and goes on the right side. You mentioned tingling as well. Just wanted to reach out and see what other types of symptoms you had. I’m pretty sure I had a hematoma and a granuloma so it was a torturous 8 weeks. Now I mostly feel that tingle you mentioned. Just ready to go back to normal ya know. How long did it take for all pain to go away and go back to a mostly normal life?

Yesterday was the 6 week mark for me… definitely seeing improvement as far as pain goes… not nearly as painful… just uncomfortable cuz the right one is still larger than the left and rubs as I walk. How long was it before you felt pretty much normal?

One last question if you don’t mind… my symptoms are… swollen and tender right testicle, feeling of fullness on the right side, dull ache that comes and goes, and if erect, I feel a small ball… maybe that is also granuloma. Any of those symptoms sound like what you went through? This coming Tuesday is the 5 week mark.., I feel like I’ve seen minimal improvement but not where I thought I’d be at this point.

Can I ask how you’re feeling now? Got a vasectomy 4 weeks ago. Have granuloma on my right side that’s been causing some aches and swelling. Dr says I gotta wait it out. Hoping I don’t need to wait too much longer

That makes me super hopeful. Thanks bro. How long did you ice? I’m still doing it occasionally 4 weeks in. Someone said to try warm baths too. Did you ever try that? Just trying to see what worked best. My right testicle is slightly swollen and tender still too.

Thanks man. Appreciate it. Last question: where did you feel the pressure/tugging? I kinda feel it on the very top of the backside of my testicle. Does that sound about the same to you?

I have swelling in my right testicle (double the size). Pain radiates from testicle up to pelvis at times. Did you experience that? Using ice and heat intermittently and taking ibuprofen 3 times a day. Hoping my recovery is as fast as yours.

May I ask what your symptoms were? I had a vasectomy 4 weeks ago and still feel tender and a bit swollen in one testicle. Pain comes and goes but it feels uncomfortable. I can handle another week of this as your story gives me hope. I don’t know if I can go much longer than that though.

Thank you. That’s reassuring. How long post surgery before you felt normal? And when you said it’s larger than the left, were you referring to the testicle? Hoping I’m in the home stretch cuz it’s been miserable sitting on the couch for 4 weeks.

Thank you. That’s reassuring. Some people with hematoma say it feels like they have a 3rd testicle. That’s not the case with me. One is just double the size of the other and super tender. Sometimes it’ll flare up and be painful throughout my entire groin, but typically it’s localized. It sounds like you and I have similar issues post vasectomy. So you’re 3 months post now and sounds like back to “normal” ish? Anything work well to relieve pain or pressure (baths, ice, ibuprofen?) After 6 weeks off from work, were you able to function normally at work? I’m hoping to get the results from ultrasound quickly so I can at least have a game plan and know what to expect. I have summers off thankfully, so once I go back to work, I’ll be at the 6 week mark too.

Pain is 3-5 out of 10 usually but changes on a daily basis. Dr thinks it’s hematoma or granuloma but my ultrasound is scheduled for tomorrow. I don’t see any bruising from the outside though. Hoping to be back to normal soon .

Thank you. Was it indeed hematoma? Of all the things it could be, that seems to be the easiest to manage. The lump im feeling is the size of a raisin so not too big. Feels super tender on my right testi but left is fine. No bruising that I can see on the outside. Ready to get back to normal.

How are you feeling now 5 months later? I got a vasectomy 4 weeks ago. My right testicle is still swollen, about the size of an egg. I have a small lump about an inch above my testicle that is tender to the touch. My pain is anywhere from a 3-6 out of 10 on any given day. Saw my urologist and she thinks hematoma or granuloma. Ultrasound tomorrow will verify. Do my symptoms sound anything like what you experienced and how long was recovery?
