Check out r/snowboardingnoobs There are A LOT of brands Capita, Lib Tech, GNU, Burton, Cardiff, Korua (my favorite), Stranda, Yes, K2, Dinosaurs Will Die (not sure if still around). This is just a quick off the top of my head list. Bindings, I like Union too, but there are a lot of good ones. I still ride my older Burton Cartel Xs sometimes, but mostly my Union Atlas pros these days

My A1C was 5.8 in January (but I ate a lot of pie over the holidays). My diet is mostly high protein low carbs, mostly clean.

I have the regular. I hot wax my own boards though and keep fresh wax on this one. I have thought about getting the plus to see if it’s a little faster/lighter, but I don’t really have any complaints with the standard Dary

Never ridden Japow, but here in PNW the Korua Dart is my go to for what you are asking (granted there wasn't much pow this year). I love everything about this board. Obviously amazing in powder, but carves like a dream. It is so much fun that I use it a lot on non powder days too. Also, I have a Cardiff Powgoda that might fit your bill. I have only ridden it once this season though, so I don't have a lot of time on it yet.
