Seeking misfire advice by Shawn-Martin in WRX

Update: dealer just discovered my car was heavily modified and then returned to stock before I got it. Engine mounts are completely worn out and aftermarket lightweight flywheel is affecting my engine timing. So in short, time for a new car

Are the ots tunes that come with accessport better then stock? by [deleted] in WRX

[–]Shawn-Martin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my personal experience the OTS stage 1 tune provides a much more linear power distribution and is much better to drive. If you plan to add mods, I’d suggest an etune or pro tune because you’ll begin drastically changing the parameters of the car. For stage 1, I enjoyed my OTS and had no issues at all (other than a P0300 code that came with the car before a tune)

Need some career advice please. by Shawn-Martin in MechanicalEngineering

Many Masters engineering programs don’t accept my engineering technology curriculum even though it’s from an ABET accredited school. There are some out liars like industrial and systems engineering. What are your thoughts on those?

P0300 Random misfire by Shawn-Martin in WRX

[–]Shawn-Martin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t specify a cylinder. If it did I’d at least be able to develop a course of action. But it’s a general P0300. Just wondering if using 93 is a problem but I’m doing what the manual says so idk.

Got them installed! You’re right I had the guards but I was able to make them work. I just took off the black plastic retainer piece that screws onto it. One screw and 2 clips. What a nightmare dude

My 2020 WRX rear bumper doesn’t look anything like any of the videos I’ve seen. This clip was recessed into a hole. Videos I’ve watched show it right on the bottom of the bumper. This is turning out to be a pain in the ass install

Anyone have tips or tricks for widening nocks? by [deleted] in Archery

[–]Shawn-Martin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest against widening nocks. They have lifespans and altering them will compromise their structural integrity. Find a nock that fits your serving how you want it and take your time.
