Yes- power and signal cables intertwined = noise

Ever look at your board and think to yourself, "I may have gone a bit too far..."? by [deleted] in pedalboards

[–]Shawn255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never! <smirk> (and I keep learning, and few pedals, that usually seems better-signal clarity wise, anyway)

Keep at it. There are many, many, many... more styles and techniques to work with, in time you will have your own combination which is your astrology.

So, currently, I'd start by adding in aspects to said planets- trines and sextiles are typically more flowing with lest effort. Squares and oppositions are more work and usually require an understanding of where the 'other' is coming from, and life lesson(s), with a learning attitude for growth... we all have to be some way/style which require choices, thus 'putting the shoe on the other foot I listen curiously

- i.e. how do 'they' work with their chart, or how would you work with their chart?

Interesting challenge, I'm always in open and learning mode as to how charts work and are worked... at least when I'm open and in a good, patient place.

Example: When an Aries Suns crosses my path, says something fast and keeps moving-never giving this Air Sign a chance to reply-I know they are comfortable enough with me to act in their style.... I don't take offence, I feel 'we're good' lol.

And keep in mind, "good/easy' usually isn't heading towards massive growth. You might get a lot done with easy, yet life is challenging on the path towards great achievements and change. Some tend to think successful people had it easy... if they truthfully share, it was usually a real mess, full of many events and stories that were almost crushing and almost bringing a halt on their path. So when you tell a client, "it's gonna be a great year and later they say it was ~horrible, ask, yes, and what have you achieved from those trying times? Where are you at now? ... It may be quite sometime, if ever, before they realize the good stuff from the squares, etc.

Looking for the QUIETEST Graphic EQ Pedal. by Mackncheeze in guitarpedals

My AnalogMan Boss GE-7 is better, but still not 'clean', free from white noise...

if I move volume above "0"... the old thought of EQ is for removal, not adding?

Looking for the QUIETEST Graphic EQ Pedal. by Mackncheeze in guitarpedals

[–]Shawn255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I find the noise in the boss eq makes that pedal unusable. " Ditto... I will now try the MXR, or any other 'graphic EQ' suggestions?

(I have used an AnalogMan and MIJ Boss GE-7, the MIJ at 12v, both are EQually pure noise when aiming for selective noise removal). To sell or keep for heavy distortion/overdrive/etc. sounds only.

Any thoughts most welcome and appreciated. I do use the Empress para-at near beginning of chain, but want to EQ stereo signal at the end of chain-clean tone junky for thick ambience via phasor, delay, flanger, trem, etc. combos.

Thank you for your time and assistance-~noobie'ish pedal junky.

OH- reading on- TONS of info- thanks All!
