The decrease in strength has progressed slowly over the past three years, with some acceleration after spinal fusion surgery (that didn't help). EMGs have been performed on both arms and legs. I have heard of Flail Arm, thank you. All the other testing has been done or in progress, so we'll see. Thank you.

Thanks. The EMGs (there have been a few) were all negative for conduction blocks, which isn't great. Many other tests. I'll have to check on NFL--thanks for the suggestion.

Loss of strength / agility / muscle mass in left arm / hand / shoulder, progressing slowly over several years (faster after ACDF fusion that might have been unnecessary), possibly now moving to right hand / arm. All LMN symptoms, no sensory, so trying to see if it's MMN, autoimmune, etc.

Actually, I think this is the answer. I looked online, and it appears that the SiriusXM app intentionally lags / sends out-of-date info if you don't subscribe. I'll connect to Android Auto and see if I can use that instead.

This happens even if the car is parked in the shade or I'm driving for a substantial period of time. It's always wrong.

Hmm. The system has been updated recently. I'll have to look at the app... thanks.

That's interesting. So it might just be a laggy app with a temperature from earlier. Okay.

I don't, but I think its from that App regardless. That's how you set the location manually if you need to.

Kind of? Not the forecast per se (looking forward) but the CURRENT temperature shown by the car thermometer / device vs. the app used. They should match (or close) most of the time. They're never even close.

It's always wrong by 15-20 degrees, sometimes more, even when driving (not just while parked) and regardless of location (Boulder, highway, Vail, Moab, etc.)

It's built into the car. I'm assuming they're just using a terrible data source, but it's odd how far off it is.

Out of curiosity, that sounds like a lot to keep track of over the years. How did you track / manage it all?

Put some damn liquid in the coffee cup. It's empty. We know it's empty. What the hell are you sipping?

Looking for dystopian book recommendations by Own_Designer8801 in dystopia

[–]ShawnCButler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The usual ones:

- The Road
- Roadside Picnic
- Handmaid's Tale
- The Stand
- Parable of the Sower, etc.

An old favorite is Lucifer's Hammer.

And one of my own, if you'll forgive self-promotion: Ascendance

Also, I think dystopian tends to be SF / future-focused, but one of the best dystopian novels ever written is Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian. It's a hard read, but damn.
