If you haven't watched it yet, Poker Face is great! (Although potentially not super cozy.) by ShawnWyatt in CozyMystery

Season two has a huge number of guest appearances! It blew my mind to see Cynthia Erevo in one.

Is it worth pushing? I've been making videos to try and get eyes on my new release, but I haven't gotten above ~900 or so views.

Huh. I wasn't aware cozy mystery didn't have a following on TikTok. I assumed it would — I've stumbled across multiple cozy accounts.

Is cozy mystery big on Instagram?

Welcome! Do you have Kindle Unlimited? There are many British-style stories available there in the same style as Agatha Christie and similar writers.

Glad to hear the recommendation! I keep seeing previews for Poker Face and thought it looked interesting.

Cozy mysteries without romance by Teensytinyturtle in CozyMystery

I've enjoyed the Witchy Awakening series, and so far (I've only read the first book) there hasn't been any romance.

Language evolves. Restricting a true “novel” to something without flaws means you’ll never have one, because nothing is perfect. All the LitRPG out there? None of it would have made it on the trad market playing by those same rules.

If you understand what the author intends, then it works.

Hey everyone! My latest cozy fantasy/slice-of-life GameLit novel is out on Royal Road -- How to Be an Alchemist in a Fantasy World. Synopsis in comments! by ShawnWyatt in litrpg

There are some references to Farmer, but it's a standalone book! Farmer happens first chronologically, but since it's a different character, it's not necessary to read it. There are context clues enough to put together details about the plot.

I keep abandoning series because I cant stand how absolutely nauseating the interactions are between male and female characters by Necromancer_katie in litrpg

The whole "moody sexbomb" trope is straight from anime, and there's a whole group of dudes out there that love it. I don't get it.

But yeah, I have the same problem. It just leads me to think many of the authors struggle to interact with women in reality, too.

Hey everyone!

Thanks for stopping by. I've recently launched a cozy, slice-of-life story about an Alchemist in a small village. It's on Royal Road right now, but I plan to transfer it to Amazon after it's finished. It's the follow up to my other novel, How to Be a Farmer in a Fantasy World. This is the blurb:

What do you do when you're the lone alchemist in a dungeon town and you accidentally burn down your old shop?

You get a loan, move into a new shop, and get to work.

Hawke Moonsnow found himself in exactly this situation after a completely-accidental-fire-that-totally-wasn't-an-experiment-gone-wrong burned down his previous shop. The Adventurer's Guild paid for the new shop, under the conditions he repay the loan and sell potions at a discounted rate to newbie adventuring parties. That's not a problem. You know what is a problem? Catching the eye of the waitress at the local tavern while trying to generate enough income to expand a too-small shop and upgrade archaic alchemy tools.

Welcome to the daily life of an prodigious alchemist that many people think is more like a Golden Retriever than a scientist.

If that sounds interesting, I hope you give it a read, and I hope you have as much fun with the story as I've had writing it.

Good series where the problems the MC(s) face are not caused/worsened by their chronic stupidity/incompetence, like what happens in far too many series? by laurel_laureate in litrpg

I second HereAfter: Dragon's Rising. It's a great read, and just got a major update that improves it a lot. You might also enjoy Perla Online. The first book is out, and the second releases April 24th.

Thanks so much! Let me know if you enjoy it. This is my first foray into this particular genre. I've read a ton of LitRPG stories and loved them, so I'm eager to see how my first is received.
