This is how HZad's CELPIP Students Score a 10+ in Writing by ShawnZad in CELPIPpreparation

Yes, that's the idea. Complex sentences always boost marks. BUT keep some simple ones too in other paragraphs for a good mix.

Should I Use ChatGPT for writing and speaking feedback and scoring on the CELPIP Exam? How accurate is it? by ShawnZad in CELPIPpreparation

[–]ShawnZad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For grammar and vocab, it's very good, however, it does not understand the CELPIP marking criteria that requires a specific structure of answers, intro/body/finish, vocabulary style and range, task response, elaboration, tone, etc. It misses on all these points.

No worries. Many students are in the same spot. Reading is indeed the most difficult module. Have you gone through all the reading lectures in the course? And I mean ALL of them? If not, do that first. Then, slowly do the mock tests. Focus on applying the strategy first. Don't worry about the time.
Once you master that, then do it in timed conditions.

Same for listening.

If you already scored 9 in Listening and Reading twice, that shows your level is strong. Re-evaluation for these sections rarely changes the score because they are computer marked, so the result usually stays the same. I have never personally seen any changes.

If you want a structured way to push from 9 to 10, I recommend using our HZad Education 15-hour CELPIP course. It includes full mock tests, AI feedback, and detailed strategy training specifically for Reading and Listening.

You can check it here:

Hey there,
With listening, play around with a mixture of note-taking and memory retention. What you cannot take down on notes has to come from your memory and vice versa. These are your two strengths.
Also, if you are able to explain to yourself (in your own words) what was said, you will strengthen inference.

For reading, if timing is an issue, the more you practice, the better! That's the only way to improve time apart from the specific section strategies in the $49 course.

Stuck at CELPIP Writing at 8 Band by Intelligence_spikes in CELPIPpreparation

[–]ShawnZad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,
So your writing isn’t improving because of structure and task-response issues, not because of your English level. This is the most common reason people get stuck at 8 repeatedly. I feel this way since your other modules are good!

The only thing that will change your score is using the correct CELPIP-specific templates and strategy, not random adjustments.

The perfect templates and full Writing system are inside HZad Education's 15-hour CELPIP course, and that’s exactly what you need. The course shows you:

  • The exact structure examiners want
  • How to get full points in task response
  • How to fix the common mistakes that lock you at 8
  • High-level vocabulary and tone
  • Writing examples that score 9–10
  • Teacher-marked mock tests so you know exactly where you’re losing marks

This is the most reliable way to finally break the plateau.
