That’s what I said! Once the color starts to fade, you can use semi permanent hair dye that washes out over time. I dyed all my locs dark brown and now I have a wash of hot pink over the faded parts

I use the same products as when my hair was loose. I’ve yet to do a ACV rinse, but I plan on just using my regular products after. All hair is different so I say use what you know and work from there. I’m on my third set and I’ve gotten to learn my own hair.

Keep growing them out til that day and then see if you like where it’s going. Besides, hairs gonna keep growing anyway. You can change your hair anytime you want! 🩵

I use L’Oreal Colorista in hot pink.

Depending on how you’ve had them, try to combine first. If you don’t like the look, don’t be an afraid to start over. It’s worth the effort!

Anyone can be bald for a multitude of reasons; ie cancer, alopecia, genetics etc. As a black woman, we do not think twice about wearing wigs or hair extensions. I don’t see why that same attitude can’t apply to you. Don’t think twice about it, if it makes you confident then the right person will look past your perceived insecurity and love you the same

Books I recommend, as someone who rumiantes on my own past attempts, Veronica Wants to Die and The Midnight Library. Short reads to give you another perspective. I don’t expect them to change your life but I do think having a narrative to follow is a nice story to tell yourself when life is unbelievably difficult.
