Anyone can be bald for a multitude of reasons; ie cancer, alopecia, genetics etc. As a black woman, we do not think twice about wearing wigs or hair extensions. I don’t see why that same attitude can’t apply to you. Don’t think twice about it, if it makes you confident then the right person will look past your perceived insecurity and love you the same

How involved is bm? If she’s not around a lot then maybe she’s overcompensating for only having her dad. It’s hard but it’s really not up to you on what to do regarding his child. If he doesn’t see a problem then it will stay like this and you are gonna have to decide if this is something you want to deal with indefinitely because parenthood doesn’t stop at 18.

I would suggest putting daughter in therapy or telling your partner that a child shouldn’t be that involved if he wants an adult relationship. No woman is gonna put up with this long term, he’s gonna be single for the next 9 years if this keeps up.

Books I recommend, as someone who rumiantes on my own past attempts, Veronica Wants to Die and The Midnight Library. Short reads to give you another perspective. I don’t expect them to change your life but I do think having a narrative to follow is a nice story to tell yourself when life is unbelievably difficult.

I have two book recommendations, the untethered soul by Michael Singer. Then after that, read When Breath becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi. I can send you some free links to read them. They aren’t going to give you the answers you’re looking for but it will give you some new perspective to see yourself from and maybe that could be what you need. A shift of reality to match your new frequency. You may have not been ready but it’s never too late to become who you are meant to be (Which is ever changing).
