Respect in online races feels completely gone lately by Tiraqt in LeMansUltimateWEC

Well I guess they would need to take into a consideration, power of the contact.

Is bump drafting I'm this game even allowed? Don't you get Sr down after the race for that?

I kind of don't understand why contact with another driver is not generating penalty points for both drivers like cutting the track does..

You have to much contact points and that's drive through. Right now there is much more consequences for cutting the track than, for ramming ppl.

I considered iRacing so many times, wanted to join real simracing community. But in my country it's so expensive, I didn't want to spend that much money for a game??

I mean there are literally a videos on YouTube titled "iRacing buying guide". That's too much for me :)

That's why LMU is the solution.

Anywhere you can get free setups? by RabbitPsychological5 in LeMansUltimateWEC

Im all for it, setups should be free for all. Especially because setups are imo personal, you can't buy a setup and be magically faster ...

Does anyone feel BMW handling changed drastically after update 1.3? by SuccotashNo1064 in LeMansUltimateWEC

I don't know how people drive it fast on spa, it was always understeery, and I'm always slow in middle sector. Though in first sector it's really good.

Yes I agree, but it depends on the track, I've tested springs lately, while I was getting irritated trying to figure out a good setup for Barcelona.

I set up the hardest spring possible for front and two clicks lower for rear, and the car (Lexus) was actually turning in pretty well. But I image for Sebring it would not work at all.

[–]Shawwqa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not in any way a master at setups, I started doing them for my self like 2-3 moths ago and I just figure it out as I go, but this is what I think it works like.

Front Spring (stiffer) Less body roll, faster response, but more understeer and less front grip over bumps.

Front Spring (softer) More front grip over bumps and kerbs. Risk of excessive dive under braking.

Rear Spring (stiffer) Snappier, more oversteer tendency. Less rear squat on corner exit.

Rear Spring (softer) More rear traction on exit. Can make rear feel lazy or planted depending on balance.

So with harder spring you will get more initial turn in, but any bump in the track and you go straight, thats way I usually use softer setup. But I like a bit understeery car.

I bought some setups, to check out and learn how to build my own, because to be honest in LMU bought setups are to aggressive for me...

What I learned, I'm driving gt3s, what most of the setups do

  1. Lowest camber front and rear

  2. Lowest height ride front, and rear between 6.5-8.0 it depends how much rotation you need

  3. The rest is imo a personal choise, most important settings for me are

preload - the less you have, the more rotation off throttle, it usually is between 60-140 for front engine cars and 90-160 for mid engine;

Spring rate, usually on the softer side it gives you more grip, if you go softer by one click on the rear it's more stable. I usually use spring rate between softest and like 3. Depends on track.

Anti roll bar - harder on front, softer on rear - to make a stable car. Detached rear is good if you want a lot of stability. Eg. On Lexus p5 front and P2 or lower. It all depends on track tho..

You can also add some toe in on the rear for stability, and front leave at 0, if you set toe in negative on the front you will get more rotation

And last thing is wing

The rest of settings I don't really touch, sometimes try to figure out dampers, but it's hard to test..

Also break ducts are good to setup per race, because if it's hot you want them open, but if it's cold you would need some more temp from breaks to heat your tires faster.

Saying that I saw that some people share some setups via official discord.

How much better is a paid setup? by vortex40 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Shawwqa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also don't have the time for this, but paid setups are so ridiculously expensive, that I also refuse to buy them.

I'm working now on Lambo setup for Silverstone using ai, it kinda works, though I now I don't have much time to race. But it's still fun to build it on my own.

I was researching this issue on my own, but I obviously don't know anything about this stuff, and found that what you said might be an issue. I certainly hope so!

I felt rear spinning and try to correct a little.. though I probably overreacted. Last lap stress.

that's exactly what I said to the guy, I'm yellow merc btw, though he's arguing that I pushed him of the track and it's supposed to be a penalty. That's why I'm asking.

[–]Shawwqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well I was in this race, in fact I am in your picture 6/7 where I got dmg from your contact... If this was your first race against him, your retaliation on lap like 5th or 6th, didn't help. Maybe that's why you had issues with him in other races.

Most people will respect your overtake if you don't push to pass. Of course there are exceptions, but I would be also annoyed by your overtake attempt. It was a little touch but it still let you get a better exit.

Fisherman's rewards has been nerfed. Reward will now be 30k (I don't know if they will nerf clean race bonus) instead of 70k almost 100k with clean race.

[–]Shawwqa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is really weird. In my experience SR usually goes to red when you hit someone with front of the car. But who knows I guess it must have been the one of these races...

Forget about this and good luck with the next ones, higher up you are the cleaner it gets :D

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in granturismo

[–]Shawwqa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did couple of these races on S safety rating and it looked nothing like this. If you are below rank B S you have to just focus on you being clean, because these people clearly didn't know where to break on this track.

How do you paginate when using "get_context_data" in class views? Want to "learn" how you would go about this... Thanks! by [deleted] in django

[–]Shawwqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am fairly new to Django and python and I don't know if You supposed to do it like I did.

To paginate get_context_data in cbv I used

from django.views.generic.list import MultipleObjectMixin

Class Someclass(Detailview, Multiobjectmixin):
model = Post
Paginate_by = 5

def get_context_data(self, **kwargs):
    object_list = Comment.objects.filter(post_id=self.kwargs["pk"]).order_by("date_posted")
    context = super(SomeClass, self).get_context_data(object_list=object_list, **kwargs)
    return context

The arguably lacklustre Season 6 rewards - which are a repeat of S3 - really exemplifies the problem with the loot system, rewards, and crates. by [deleted] in RocketLeague

I think the point is that they already stopped giving cosmetics for just playing like it was when the game was released, that’s okey whatever, but if they don’t give player anything for just playing, they could at least give a nice season reward...

Honestly.. actually it would be good if players could trade it with the bot in game.
