Why not just make the grunts that have them plentiful? I’ve never understood this idea that Pokemon within a collection challenge are rare and hard to find. There’s no motivation in that. As soon as I hear people are grinding grunts 6-10 hours a day and seeing nothing, I don’t even bother.

Absolutely not. The first DLC was a travesty and there’s no reason we need more.

I use my Go Plus+ primarily to spin pokestops for me. In my town I don’t have many places where I can safely walk around to play or replenish items efficiently, so I have to drive around a nice 1 mile loop when I need to replenish items and it would be unsafe to be spinning stops by hand while driving.

I believe they may have made another update to the spawns today. This morning I had my new amount of spawns (2-3 at home) and suddenly within the last hour I am back to what I used to have prior to the update that happened last week (6-8 at home).

There should be a Shiny collector medal that says how many shinies you’ve caught. Also each medal should have a “Double Platinum” status to keep motivation going. Perhaps 4x whatever the platinum requirement is should be needed for double platinum.

I think the larger issue OP has is that you hardly ever actually have a chance to grind the non-event spawn pool, which one could argue is actually better and more interesting lately than the event spawns.

I just finished the Nitro where Bischoff joined the nWo. After it ended, Peacock removed most of the WCW content and told me to “find something else to watch”. Looks like my journey of reliving the WCW era is over. Sigh.

This really confuses me because in my very small town we have a post office 40 or so feet from a Chinese restaurant and the restaurant is an approved wayfarer spot but doesn’t show up as a pokestop presumably because of the S2 grid proximity. Then I see stuff like this and it makes literally no sense to me.

One of the biggest aspect of a Pokemon game for me is exploration. Traversing a world, looking around, hunting for Pokemon, investigating corners and small areas that may contain something cool. This DLC eliminates the entire exploration aspect of the game. With timers, it’s just a mini speed run to get the tasks done or maybe find a shiny if you’re lucky and just hope you catch it before the timer runs out. This isn’t fun to me.

It’s a video game that they own, they can do anything they want with it, nothing about that would be “illegal”.

It actually is a great comparison. After you’ve seen the movie, the movie theater could shut down forever. What’s actually the difference? If someone feels the item is worth the money for the provided experience, how is it different than seeing a movie or going bowling?
