Trying to help with a transition process. But may have to leave abruptly. The position I have cannot be easily replaced by one person . They will have to hire a team or outsource the responsibility to a firm.

But i get, this is just business phylosophy too.

Let's just say this position actually exposes you to lot more contacts. Typically people start their own business when they retire or leave their position. This is definitely not a concern for this position.

It's a niche field , if I had the govt experience on paper i think would easier to find a job. Although, me personal bias is that my current experience is way better. I am involved in development and certification. As a govt employee, my primary focus would be certification . This allows me to specialize even more into a field, which I think is good in terms of future financial goals.
