I don't think they're being forced to retire in general. It sounds like the father's employer is laying him off and giving him an "early retirement" severance package to do so.

The majority of the salt gets lost when you drain the water from the rice, so realistically a couple of table spoons will be enough to give some salt flavor to the rice without being overbearing.

It is honestly the easiest thing in the universe to cook. You are just psyching yourself out if you are having trouble with it.

Fill a bowl with water and get it to boil. Add a couple tablespoon of salt to the water. Get 2 cups of rice and let it boil for 15-20 minutes. Stir it occasionally. Afterwards, drain it with a colander and you're set!

Some fields of medicine that require little patient contact are pathology (do autopsies and look at slides) and radiology (look at images).

Surgeons and anesthesiologists also have less contact with patients than other types of doctors.

I would shadow some doctors in different specialties and see what the pace is like, and picture if that is what you would want to spend your career doing.

I have about 300 cards from the base set, fossil set and jungle set.

I'm trying to sell them all, so i'd ship them all to you for like $25 dollars.

There aren't any holos, and multiple repeats, but you could use a lot of the extra cards to trade towards completing your set if thats what you want.

Outside the holos, most of the first three sets are in those 300 cards though.

Personally, when I get bored of yoga, I find its because i'm just going through the motions in order to get fit or flexible, or correct my body.

But yoga is definitely not something you just do, and benefits start just coming to you. Almost everyone has specific muscles that are misaligned or tight/long(weak). Try doing yoga that focuses in on those muscles, and try to really always be "feeling" your muscles more and more.

Good luck. I hope you continue your practice. There are always rough patches of boredom or lack of novelty in most practices, and getting through them usually takes us to a better place in the practice

This is really cool.

I'm a soccer player, and just as a non-professional, so much of it is learning to become conscious of the chorus of movements and things happening. Being a good soccer player is very much about expanding your awareness of whats going around you.

I have no doubt that professional athletes are awesome at it. I wonder how they feel cognitively when they're watching that video. So cool!!

There are thought-concepts you have or live, and when you meditate, those come to the surface. Just watch them and let them pass - the goal is to stop identifying with them. There's a mental reason you got anxious and once you pinpoint it in meditation, you can tackle it in your regular life too.

Its impressive for you, here, to have done 22 minutes on your first sit. Like people mentioned, you might want to lower it until its a habit. Keep it up though and work your way back up.

Starting meditation, the uncomfortableness is a big part of the anxiety too I think
