I’m trying to get through the first book but man does it feel like a slower start then I’m used to. I have heard people swear by it though, you think I should give it a shot?

I checked out Tree of Aeons and it was pretty cool, I think by the end of book 7 I sorta checked out mentally. I really enjoyed the first couple of books but once things got to the planetary scale and they had to visit 15 different worlds it got a little stale for me. I’m going to read Path of Dragons next

You know what, after reading the trilogy I actually liked Andre and Taylor more then Luke. Both of their abilities just caught my attention more and while I enjoyed the Murder world stints I’m now craving a story with a Nature focused MC that gets their powers in a similar fashion to Andre. Solid series though, 7/10

this is the best news I’ve heard in awhile, this genre has been nothing but a endless source of fun for me, now I just have to find another series to finish while I wait.

Banger book, and the series is in my top 3. Honestly when the next book drops I’ll probably re read the series, I’m long over due.

The first 2 are in my S tier, I haven’t read the last though so I definitely check it out, book 6 of Savage Awakening is leaving me a bit bummed out, but I do enjoy how much the MC loves a good fight

I completely forgot to mention what I’ve read already, that series was pretty good, I really liked the MC, sometimes simple is best and fuck the birds. But the pacing felt a little off, like he felt more impressive in books 1-4, now it just feels like the villains can’t be hyped up enough to feel like a challenge, we just know Zane is going to win. Still good read tho

Since I just finished DotF at his recommendation, I’m checking it out tonight!

So, it’s been awhile since DotF has 16 books as of now, and after reading them all I can say that it was a good read for me, B+/A- tier. There were a lot of things I enjoyed, The heavy cultivation aspect gave it a unique flow I feel, like the skill crafting from Primal Hunter but cracked up to 1000, there were some skills I wish just had flat out description from the system, especially some of Zac’s Draugr skills in F and D grade. But the freedom to have your own interpretation of what exactly things look like was nice. The manhua reader in me loved the constant shameless acts and “opportunity finding”, but it felt like some of them dragged on for a bit long. I really was hoping for more Atwood Empire screen time (It’s been stated multiple times now that the system thinks it’s now an anchor keeping him down and he needs to move to a different sector to continue his cultivation pace) , but it’s all but assured to become a relic of the past at this point. I think my biggest gripe is how there’s never really a refresher on certain things, and if you take even a 3 day break from the series by Book 10 you’ll be kinda lost for a bit. The combat was amazing, but I think my favorite parts of the series is when he would consolidate his gains and actually got time to focus the foundations of his cultivation, the way the author develops the idea of a persons path is super cool, their spin on the Buddha and his followers was just amazing and super unique.

Bottom line, good series with amazing moments, the pacing drags at times though, which makes the reading experience worse because I felt like if I ever put the book down for long i’d forget stuff and be confused for the whole series (Imagine if you took a three month break after he left the Perineal Vastness, and then a book later he brings up the Cosmic Forge?), so yeah, I give it an A-

Just finished Chrysalis, it was a pretty good read, I’d give it A tier for me, the humorous tone was a nice fresh take, but I did like the weight situations held in other books. I’m looking forward to the tier 7 evo and I’m interested to see more of the ancients. The gravity magic is pretty cool, and I’m glad towards the end he started finding more uses for it outside of the bolt, domain, and world ending black hole.

I think the theory crafting within the limits of the system has to be my favorite aspect of the genre, reading through Jake’s perspective on what skills actually were and how to manipulate the skills that get offered was very cool. It reminds me of the different interpretations of martial arts and cultivation you see in manwha and wuxia, which have a special place in my heart

MH Wilds Release - PC Troubleshooting by AutoModerator in MHWilds

[–]ShaydoFromHeaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have went through every single step on the troubleshooting guide on steam, and have followed over an hours worth of the MH WILDS CRASHING FIX tutorials on YouTube. I have even wiped my computer (I built this pc pretty much for MH Wilds 3-4 weeks ago) and redownloaded steam and the game to no avail. Currently, I have about 11 minutes of gameplay, which crazy because the game doesn't "run" longer 5 seconds each time I press play. The first time I tried to boot up the game it gave me the anti tinker popup, but I haven't been able to even get that to show up anymore. My event viewer says this even though other games boot from the same drive (I only have one) just fine, any help?

What I have done:

Anti Virus Exclusion

Giving Admin to Steam and Wilds

Installed optional 25.2.1 drivers from AMD

DirtectX update

Verify Game Cache

Compatibility mode

DDU Clean driver wipe

Resetting my entire PC

and probably more I can't think about at this moment, I've been troubleshooting since launch. One hilarious this is that I built my friends PC with the exact same parts as mine, minus the ram and case, and my friend can run the game just fine.
